Have not the believers yet come to know that if God had enforced His will He could have surely guided all mankind.

And if thy Lord had enforced His Will, surely, all who are in the earth would have believed together. Wilt thou, then, force men to become believers?

Now, if the Old Testiment is primarily written to Isreal and the Jews, the Gospels were written to Jews and Gentiles during Christ's ministry, then what about Paul? If you've read the bible, can you see the difference between gospels and testiments? We are now in the grace dispensation of the bible. God doesn't operate the same way he did in time past (Jews and Isreal-circumcision and uncircumsion) and as he explains in Ephisians: Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God 13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; - Any thoughts on this?

As the Bible does not say when Jesus was born, but tells us the specifics of his death, why would you celebrate a lie? Do any of you know that the Bible calls Satan the father of the lie? Would God want us to celebrate a lie? If any of you should do the research on the birth of Jesus Christ you would find out that he never celebrated it. That came into play about 300 years after he died. So, if he didn't think it was important to celebrate it, what makes you think God wants us to? When did God every say to have Christmas?

Am I truly the only athiest here who does not bash other people about their beliefs?? Most athiests boast a live and let live attitude, but when a Christian posts a question, it seems to me that the athiests attack like wolves, and vice versa. Is there such a thing as disagreeing in a classy way anymore?

I believe that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,but we are responsible for who we become.
I believe that its taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I believe that we are responsible for what we do,no matter how we feel.
I believe that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I believe that sometimes when I am angry i have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I believe that maturity has more to so with what types of experiences you have had and what you have learned from them and less to do with how many b-days you have had.
I believe that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.Sometimes you have to to learn to forgive yourself.
I believe that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

How true do you find these things to be?

This question is especially designed for Meg M...I hope you too will do a little reading. Your church teaches that Mary is God....false; that there is a place between heaven and hell called purgatory....false; that the Mass is an unbloody sacrifice to atone for sins, as though Christ's once for all sacrifice did not do the job...false; that we have several mediators between us and God depending upon our need at the time...false; that our works win us favor with God and allow us into heaven...false. In your reading, do you ever simply read the Bible alone. If you did you may find salvation is through faith alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone, for God's glory alone. I hope and pray that you will continue to seek truth.

Please answer honestly.

There are always comments on how Christians, have a low education level... how if they were more educated, they would realize there was no God.

I personally, graduated highschool, have an associate degree, and I am a state qualified insurance agent. My husband whom is also Christian, also has a highschool diploma, a bachelor degree and is a state qualified general contractor.

Most of our friends are Christian and also are college educated people.

This article gave me the chills.

I don't know if this is a good thing, or if the 'soul' person dying is in jeopardy. Please let me know your opinion.
From the article....''Most families are grateful for the advanced warning, although one wanted Oscar out of the room while a family member died. When Oscar is put outside, he paces and meows his displeasure''
these two sentences gave me the chills, otherwise, the article made the cat look great.

This is not meant to mock anyone but PLEASE don't make a fool of yourself by simply quoting from the Bible. In this regard, that would make no sense.

And, please don't simply use the (acceptable but irrelevant) argument that the Bible is historically found to be true. According to many Christians Satan can imbue the world with misleading evidence in all regards.

They rather disbelieve in the Flying Spaghetti Monster, the Santa according to them, until the Flying Spaghetti Monster bows down to them by giving them evidence.

The huge ocean that mankind never put there is not enough evidence. The world and the people in it are not enough evidence. The air they breathe, the food they eat to stay alive is not enough evidence for them.

I have 100% proof that there is a Flying Spaghetti Monster. The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster says so.

...or is it just a power trip?

The very first time I ever heard the term "bible basher" was from a Mormon missionary. I had made the decision to leave that religion and was requesting ex-communication (which they never granted me) and I was showing them where their religion was against the Bible and they gave up immediately and said they would not "bible bash" with me.

Then when I took Bible lessions with Jehovah's Witnesses...I witnessed how they turned bible bashing into an art. It was such a rush for them to have the answer to everything scriptural at the drop of a hat. Like pulling a gun at a showdown. But it seemed to just leave people pissed off.

So, I was wondering if any bible bashers out there ever converted anyone by this practice, or is it a exercise in memory or a kind of contest?

Surah: 2.138: (Our religion is) the Baptism of Allah: And who can baptize better than Allah? And it is He Whom we worship.

As I was reading this I started to cry. Why? You see one of the biggest questions Islam answered for me was this: Should a child that die in infancy and is not baptized go to heaven, hell or limbo. In my prior religion I was often told well that child carries original sin so he will go to limbo. Now Islam clarified this for me. THERE IS NO ORIGINAL SIN, WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S MISTAKE??? MAKES NO SENSE TO ME!!! (This is not a critique of anyone's religion, but my own personal opinion)

Why should a pure soul of a child carry someone else's sin?

Islam answers:

Every child who dies goes to heaven because he does not bear sins...

Now I ask you Are you guys not Glad that you are Muslims?

I know I am.

And knowing this makes my heart lighter.

(Why? I brother died 3 days after he was born, he was not baptized)
