Yes. Muslims do not carry the original sins, because why should one's sins be directed upon another? My family's sins do not come upon my shoulder. And not having an original sin isn't something to make a Muslim proud. There are other factors in consideration that make Muslims outstanding and reputable as a legitimate leader( practicing-Muslims.)
Yes, I am glad I am Muslim, but not just because of the original sin concpet as it is in Christianity.
Maybe that is why Christians should baptize a kid right away, and whose fault is that? Adam and Eve's or the kids, or the parents, or God's?
PS: Guys, I know how great it is and all, but stop pasting pages and pages of suras. It's annoying and no one reads it. It's awesome to paste like 1 or 2 line, but a whole page isn't worth it. You can simply provide a link to it or whatever. Everyone has been doing that and I believe that Mash'ALLAH, it's great you're using the Holy Al-Qur'an as a reference, but just stop pasting verses from it freely. No offense to ANYONE.

There is also an understanding that any child that dies before the age of discernment or maturity, then that child goes to heaven. Also the people who the message of Islam has not reached and the people who got the message but couldn't understand it.
On the Prophet Muhammad's (peace and blessings of God be upon him) night journey, he saw the Prophet Abraham (upon him peace) entertaining children. When it was asked who these children were then it was answered that these were the children who died on the pure faith. The belief in one God/Allah. This was in a level in Heaven.
Thanks for sharing

As-Salaamu 'alaikum,waRahmatullahi,waBarakaatuhu; Al-Humdullah! We praise Allah,Who guides to the Even Way whom He chooses, and indeed the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam). Here is a gem, from the many of the precious gems that Allah has enriched this 'Ummah with- Narrated Ibn Shihab: The funeral prayer should be offered for every child, even if he were the son of a prostitute, as he was born with a true faith of Islam (i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone). If his parents are Muslims, particularly the father, even if his mother were a non-Muslim, and if he after the delivery cries (even once) before his death (i.e., born alive) than the funeral prayer must be offered. And if the child does not cry after his delivery (i.e., born dead ) then his funeral prayer should not be offered, and he will be considered as a miscarriage. Abu Hurairah, radiyya Allahu 'anhu, narrated that the Prophet, sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam, said, "Every child is born with a true faith ( i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone ), but his parents convert him to Judaism or to Christianity or to Magianism, as an animal gives birth to perfect baby animal. Do you find it mutilated?" Then Abu Hurairah recited the holy Verses : '...Allah's Fitrah ( i.e., Allah's Islamic Monotheism ) with which He has created mankind...' " (V.30 :30 ).

" In my prior religion I was often told well that child carries original sin so he will go to limbo."
I just wanted to come say that limbo is no longer an accepted belief among the Catholics. I don't really know how they get past the original sin rule. But yeah, they got rid of their belief in "limbo" for children who aren't baptized. Oh, I am atheist and very glad I am thanks :)

wow as I was reading this, many emotions came thru me. I never really think about the meaning but it is so merciful, subhan allah. I agree with you. A baby didn't disobey his parents, he didn't commit adultry, he didn't lie or backbite or cheat. So why is he considered sinful? Because the baby made her go thru labor, thru 9 months of pregnancy? well this is the only way the mother can truly love the baby with all her heart. So yes, I am proud and glad and happy and thankful to be muslim

So sorry for your loss dear sister. I can understand why you would cry when you read this verse, and see also why you will find Islam comforting and reassuring when thinking about your dear little baby brother, and may Allah rest his soul and bless him.
Yes insha'Allah I hope that Allah will find me thankful and grateful for guiding me to the straight path. I am very happy to be a Muslim, alhamdulillah.
We should never despair of Allah's Loving Mercy, for he has said that his mercy takes prescedent over his wrath (Hadith Qudsi).
Stay strong sister...Peace be with you...Salam.

I am very sorry about your brother, I have never thought how I would feel if one of my brothers die in infancy,.... Man, wallah to the bottom of my heart I am sorry. Right now your brother sees his place in heaven, he is not an infant, but mature with a mind, for pleasure of Allah's endless bounties. You will see him, Insha Allah, I will pray to Allah to help guide you to paradise.
A baby has no thought but the Angels play with them when they do not talk or sense others. That is why a baby is not focused on one thing.
I am happy to be a muslim, Alhamdilulah.
jazakallah khair. Sister.

The Almighty bears witness that there is no god but He, and (so do) the angels and those possessed of knowledge, (He is) maintaining justice. There is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise.
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it (on the Day of Judgment), and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it
Shall I seek a lord other than God while He is the Lord of everything, and no soul earns (evil) but against itself. Nor does a bearer of a burden bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, so He will in form you of that in which you differed.
Holy Quran
God does not hold any individual responsible but for his own deed which is under his control. No one is responsible for the deeds of others, even if they are his friends or relatives, as long as their action is not under his control.
The human race could not be burdened by the action of Adam and Eve. To say that the whole human race is burdened with the heredity of the improper action of Adam and Eve is to say that the thousands of human generations share with Adam and Eve the responsibility of their action, and that they are condemned by God for a mistake which occurred before the birth of any of those generations. This, of course, is inconsistent with God's justice.
A human judge does not condemn a son for the sin of his parents which he did not share. How can we conceive that the Just God places the iniquity of the parents on their children or their great-grandchildren?
Therefore, Islam emphatically denies the Doctrine of the Original Sin, and considers every human being pure at the time of his birth and free of any sin. Actually, Islam offers the human infant as a perfect example of a pure and sinless being. Every human being, according to the teachings of Islam, is born pure and free of any sin and continues to be pure until he commits a sin as an adult.
By sinning at the age of adulthood, the individual loses his purity, but a person can regain it through a sincere repentance. When a person genuinely changes his attitude and sincerely intends not to repeat his sin, and truly pledges obedience to God, the Most Merciful will forgive and erase the sin.
". . . and Adam received from his Lord words, and He relented towards him. Lo! He is the Relenting, the Merciful."
Holy Quran
Adam had repented after he did the improper. Adam was forgiven by God upon his repentance. The Holy Qur'an informs us that the Most Merciful accepted the repentance of Adam, and by this, the action of Adam was forgiven:
The fall of Adam from paradise is not necessarily a punishment for a sin. It may be a necessary result of the change of his status. At the beginning, Adam was worthy of communicating with God at any time, and this was his bliss and paradise. By acting improperly, he became susceptible to slip again; that is, he had lost his immunity from impropriety. So unimmuned, he was no longer in such a high position that enables him to communicate with his Lord at any time. Now he is able to do so only at the time of his firm purity. His firm purity, of course, is no longer permanent as it was before he slipped, because he may slip once again.
The whole issue of the Original Sin is, as we advanced, entirely opposed to the justice of God. Even if we forget about its inconsistency with His justice, we cannot conceive that the Most Just makes one person, an innocent person, Jesus, pay for the sin of the whole human race. Again, how can we wash a small sin, such as eating any apple, by the most terrible sin, the murder of a holy person, such as Jesus. Sin may, conceivably, be washed by a good deed, not by murder. Furthermore, how can we conceive that God, the Most Wise, would demand the blood of His dear messenger as a price of forgiveness?
