... to the devil?
Maybe all the trials we go through is just part of life, just reaping what we sow?
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." -- Galatians 6:7 KJV
How do you know its not the devil but just the consequences of our own inquity?

God leveraged the wiles of the devil to test Job, *giving the devil permission* to taunt Job, just to prove to the devil how faithful Job was to God. My point is not to blame all tribulation encountered to the devil. Don't give that weasel anymore attention that he deserves.

I do believe you are correct,it is not always the work of Satan. However often times, what we sow is giving place to the will of Satan and of course we do reap, what we sow. In other words, I believe that the evil one is often directly responsible for problems and trials, such as in the case of Job..but possibly more often, is indirectly responsible,as we err in our lives by giving place to his(Satan's), will. Yet other times,I believe trials to be of a divine appointment.
"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice in as much as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." 1 Pet. 4:12,13.

so if we go thru trials, and told to "Count it all joy," isn't your stance wrong?
Did Job get what he went through, even when God called him righteous? Was this because of what Job sowed and reaped.
I don't think so.
try again.

The devil is evil personified.
It gives evasion to wo/man to face up for what he/she is solely responsible in deciding to harm others.
It is a delay tactic.

I have wondered this at times. I always think some Christian give more power to Satan then to God.
