I like to argue about the existence of a divine creator to theist. The only things I can't get past is when they say, GOD works in mysterious ways or GOD's plan is beyond our human minds to comprehend. Any thoughts on a comeback to that?

"Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

According to the Catholic Church, the Sacrament of Matrimony is the Sacrament, which blesses the lifelong union of man and woman. A union, which reflects that of Christ’s union with the Church.

Why is there no religion section in such big-name news sites as cnn.com, foxnews.com, or cbsnews.com? Is this an implied commentary that "news" in religion is either (1) not important, or (2) not appropriate to be placed with other news?

Ok, I'm Buddhist and gay so my friends and family are a wide variety of people.

My friends and family are gay, straight, bi, trans, black, white, latino, christian, pagan, buddhist, atheist and agnostic. (That is not an exaggeration.)

What I notice is that all the other groups tend to blend a little easier and when I visit my Christian friends and family I feel like I'm jumping through hoops just to spend time with them because I could never invite them along with everybody else.

Now I admit that some of it is my own decisions, but its hard to keep up with all the judgements.

-No Harry Potter
-No Gay Bars
-No Unique Restraunts
-No long coffee dates (because the conversation will get too politically heated and I'll be accused of ganging up on them.)

Can someone explain this to me?

No, I dont care if my belief in God makes me sound like a nutcase. Did Jesus care if he sounded like one? no I dont think he did, all he cared about was people believing and saving themselves from Hell. and that is all I care about. everyday I see people who dont think twice about anything they do or say. all they care about is themselves and what they want. the world is turning into a very selfish place. people wont do anything without asking "whats in it for me?" It breaks my heart to see this world fall apart because of hatred and selfishness and jealousy. I may be only one person, but at least I am one person who cares, and if I can get even one more person to see the truth, then its one more person ahead in the battle. somebody asked earlier, why we talk like we are going to war. well we are at war. good verses evil, its a war that has been going on forever. so do I care if I sound like a nutcase, no I dont, and why should you?

i mean not trusting someone else's findings but learning everything only via direct means of own experiments. Although this does require a whole lot of faith in one's own abilities.

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.

He will plan His ordinance from the heaven unto the earth, then will it go up to Him in a day the duration of which is a thousand years according as you reckon.

The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a Day, the Span of which
is fifty thousand years.

Holy Quran

In the first Verse, Almighty God was referring to the Angel Gabriel. It takes the Angel Gabriel "One" day to deliver orders from Heavens to Earth, in a Round Trip. This Day equals One Thousand Earthly years. While in the second Verse, Almighty God talks about another Day, Judgment Day, which equals to Fifty Thousand Earthly years.

If you look at Planet Pluto, the 9th Planet in our Solar System, you'll notice the
following facts:

Planet Pluto is 2.6 Billion Miles from Planet Earth,
One day on Planet Pluto equals 6 Earthly days,
One Year on Planet Pluto equals 247.7 Earthly years.

This is only within our Solar System, can you imagine the distance between Earth and other planets in another Solar Systems. Don't forget the fact that The Light Year, which is the distance the light travels for a period of one Earthly year, equals 5.878 Trillion Miles. This is the Universe of wonders, and its existence testifies that the Almighty God is Its and Only Creator.

Remember that obnoxious kid that nobody wanted to play with? You'd just keep being mean to him/her until they got the message and went home?

Is god gonna just "stick around" even though we make it clear we don't need him? What the heck is his problem? I thought he was all-knowing and stuff?

Some of you will get the irony of this question, and some of you will take it literally and spew all kinds of hate and silly scripture at me.

I tip my hat to those of you who "get it."

God is a name for something, God is a generic title applied to the deities of many religions throughout history. Therefore God is used incorrectly when referring to the maker of all things. Perhaps his real name is Fred. I can see the new bumper stickers now, *Fred bless America* and *In Fred we trust*

After Satan is set free again for the final test, will we still be able to make choices and think the same way we hink now. Like right now, we know we have the truth and we know what is right and what is wrong. Will, we still think the same or will it be harder for us to detect what is wrong or what is right? I know its confusing. Do you know what I am trying to ask?
