Yes we will forever have free will. Jehovah's purpose has not changed. Yes, we know we have the truth now, and know what is right what is wrong. The wonderful thing about that time is, we will have had our faith fortified by having witnessed the fulfillment of almost the entire Bible. (The destruction of Satan and those who follow him will finish it) We will have new scrolls, additional instructions, unknown to us at present (Revelation 20:12) We have the benefit of the wisdom and experience of a 'great cloud of witnesses' recorded in the Bible to strengthen and encourage us today. (Hebrews 12:1) How much more so, when we can speak to them personally or perhaps listen to them tell their experiences at conventions! Another thing that will help us is that worshipers of Jehovah will, for the first time in human history, be in the majority on earth.
I understand what is bothering you. I used to think that way when I was younger. "What if, after Ive gone through all of this, endured Satan's system along with pressures and persecution, made it through into the new system, grown to perfection.. What if, after all of this I sin?" There is no doubt that some will follow Satan in rebellion since the Bible speaks of this. Rather than worrying about this, I became content to build myself up as much as possible while staying active in the ministry. I ask Jehovah to help me to serve him faithfully forever.
EDIT
It also occurred to me that you might be concerned that Others may misuse thier free will and again cause problems for the earth. Remember what the Bible says at Isaiah 11:9 They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.' This is not just speaking of literal animals but people who previously displayed animalistic behavior. This transformation of people is occuring even today within our spiritual paradise. In the event that any are unfaithful, even after the thousand years Isaiah 65:20 let's us know that these will be promptly dealt with when it says "for one will die as a mere boy, although a hundred years of age; and as for the sinner, although a hundred years of age he will have evil called down upon him"

Imagine how it will be with a perfect mind and body. Able to remember whatever we have learned. By then we will have the benefit of the resurrected prophets and faithful ones. They will tell us what it was like.
We will be like Adam & Eve were with the added experience of 1,000s of years of life.
There will still be those who will choose Satan's side willingly. The reasons I don't understand as they are so foreign to me. Guessing, I would say they do not want to be ruled by Jehovah instead of their selves. Man has done such a terrible job of it so far, I just do not see it.
We do know those who get a resurrection include those who never had a chance to choose who they will serve; never heard the kingdom message. They could have been born at the wrong time, died early on, or were in a location that never had contact with the message. We know Jehovah is justice itself and would not punish those without any chance not their own fault.
That time will probably leave us complacent. Humans have the tendency to drop our guard when we have not been in danger for a time. We have plenty of time to worry later about this. Our main concern now is making sure we stay on the right path to life in that new system. We do not know the exact time of the change. Only Jehovah knows. Practice being alert now for that time.
It is good to know you are thinking ahead.

Hi Waiting:
I think I get what you're getting at. Remember that there will be lots of people resurrected. We are having our opportunity to prove ourselves faithful to Jehovah now but those who are resurrected may have died before they had a chance to know Jehovah. Years ago there were not as many witnesses so they could only cover a certain amount of territory.
The resurrected will be taught about Jehovah by those who survive and then they will be given a chance to prove that they're completely on Jehovah's side by being tested too. And with all that we're going through now, I think that one should be a breeze with perfect minds. Eve was tripped up on something very simple and I think that might be what you're thinking...that she should have had the thinking ability to not be so dumb? I think it will be easier for us because we've been through so much already that anything that seems suspicious to us we'll immediately get away from it. Jehovah won't leave us without specific instructions and with perfect minds it will be even easier to determine right from wrong. Was this any help? Or did I completely miss your point? Let me know, ok?
It's nice to 'meet' you. I read your profile, it's great that you are reaching out for goals. My name is Lorri and I am a regular auxilary pioneer and will be regular pioneer in September. My husband and I live in San Diego area. Are your parents in the truth as well? What state are you in?
Feel free to email anytime! I love to meet other brothers and sisters.

i'm optimistic she became kidding with you. i've got been a Jehovah's Witness my total life and that i comprehend my birthday and all people elses in my kin or perhaps loads of my acquaintances. We do merely no longer rejoice them. there is not any longer something incorrect with telling somebody what day you have been born, somebody stated have been weren't allowed to tell our birthday to everyone no longer a Witness. that may no longer real. If I have been to tell somebody that I artwork with or somebody while i became at school, i might continually say that i do no longer rejoice it and clarify why. the clarification we don't rejoice birthdays or holiday trips are because of the fact of there pagan backgrounds. Plus the only 2 birthdays stated interior the bible, have been being celebrated via pagans, no longer christian, nor the Israelites. (Gen 40:20-22; Matt 14: 6-10) At one social gathering, John the Baptist became beheaded and his head served on a plater. each little thing interior the bible is there for a reason. in case you do further learn on the cyber web on birthdays and it particularly is social gathering practices, you will see the place they arrive from. We carry on with the council at 2 Cor. 6: 14 & 15 to no longer be blending righteous issues with lawless issues. because it states "what cohesion is there between Christ and Baliel" (fake God)? we don't choose to defile our sparkling worship to Jehovah with something with pagan connotations. As verse 17 states " 'hence get out from between them, and separate yourselves,' say Jehovah, 'and somewhat touching the unclean issues'", 'and that i will take you in.'" this would not mean we don't have faith in events or giving presents. We do, merely no longer on birthdays or holiday trips. We do it, on each occasion we would choose to, merely because of the fact we would choose to.

After a thousand years of being in a spiritual environment enjoying all the wonders that Jehovah has to offer we will be changed.
Just like if you spent 50 years in prison you would be changed.
But this change will alert you to any badness or disobedience. You will not want to stray and give up your family and friends. You will be filled with holy spirit which also will help you fight off satan.
Satan will also have 1000 years to cook up things to break us but it will be the same old stuff....greed, materialism, immorality, backbiting.
Hopefully all of that will be gone from us.
Lets get there and see how it goes.

We may have to wait for the 'new scrolls' to be opened to find out about things like this. I know it's easy to assume that everything will be similar to the way it is now with humankind, but we just don't know yet just HOW things will be! I have often wondered about marriage and children and such in the New Order... but again, that's something I will have to wait for! Agape!

why would you want to worship the devil after knowing that he is nothing more than a slander. we will be so busy welcoming our love ones back from the dead and worshiping Jehovah God. looking forward to saying good bye to the devil for good. I cannot wait to run into my husband's arms again. and seeing all my love ones who have not seen me since I was a little girl and meeting ones in my family that I never met. and meeting Noah, Moses and Jesus Christ Step-Father Joseph for the first time

we will still be able to.
But the wrong choice will lead to following Satan and to the lake of fire.
Then, as rev 21:7 says, those who are alive will be adopted as sons of God.

In the New system we will be perfect. And I wouldn't worry about it that much. If you love Jehovah, and don't Disobey him, then you will be fine.

Hello. I am not a Jehovah's Witness. I am a Christian. I know Jehovah's Witnesses's feel they are the only true Christian's but this concept is not biblical. Christ came that we may know him. He came that all who believe in his name he gives the right to become children of God. It is not for one organization. We are to believe God not men. The men who sit in Brooklyn New York do not speak for God. We are to have a relationship with Christ not men. We are to have personal relationships with him through faith. If I were you I would really question the Watchtower and it's policies and make sure that they line up with the word of God. Not mans word.
This question shows how important it is that we are well grounded in the Word. You will know "truth" from "lies" if you have a relationship with Christ. I feel that what I have read in the bible that the rapture occurs before this time. Christ will come for those who belong to him and then the tribulation will occur, during that time it will be difficult. The time to know Christ as your personal savior is now. We will only know the outcome when it comes to pass, but rest assured in Christ that he will care for you and if we are his we have no fear for our future. Because God's love for us is perfect and perfect love cast out fear. 1 John 4:18.
