"Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

You have brought together two completely different happings. As oldguy63 said, there where no christians in the Old Testament, thats a whole different covenant that God made with the Hebrew ( Jewish ) people through Abraham. Its true that christianity comes to us through the Jews, and as part of the covenant with Abraham. But your talking way before the time of the christians.

God still has a covenant with the Jews, and He will keep that covenant, the tribulation period is to the Jewish Nation. But do not be mistaken, many christians will find their selves in that bad situation because of their unbelief.

The Bible is not a book you can read and assume you know anything. You have to spend years diligently studying, and then under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Let me suggest the Nelson New King James Study Bible. It does a remarkable job of explaining the Bible as a complete work. Still you must pray for an understanding. To the natural mind the word of God is fullishness, but to the spiritual mind it is the power of God.

May God be with you,

Um... did you actually read those quotes? The angels (it happens in a vision), not Christians, were supposed to go and kill those who are NOT marked, not those who are marked. This verse is about the marking with the "Tav," and that is not the "mark of the beast," which is in Revelation not Ezekiel. The "tav" was supposed to be marked on all those who, not having abandoned the ways of God, cry out against the injustices and abominations in the city.

By the way, "killing" in visions does not necessarily mean "killing" as in homicide. It could be that they be afflicted or even that they die spiritually. We just don't know as the world of visions is a symbolic world and not one that is necessarily literal.

So, if a Christian came to kill me because he thought I was marked by the best, I'd sign off of Yahoo Answers, as only there would someone get things so mixed up that they would think these verses mean for Christians to kill someone.

That's a funny question. I think that real followers of Jesus won't want to do that because they are into peace and love, and the fake Christians are going to take the mark anyway because they won't recognize it for what it is.
Sometimes I think they want to kill anyone who doesn't have a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker.

I'd attempt to reason with him while ripping his throat out, actually :)))

P.S. to the truly endarkened: your religion, as it has been presented to you, especially in its "fundamentalist format", was and is the product of collusion between the NWO types, millennia old, and off world "reptilian" types--the agenda? to keep you disempowered, clueless and "at each others throats" re non believers. Believe it or not !! But, don't feel alone, the same is true for other "popular" religions, as well :)))

Ezekiel 9:9

Then he said to me, "The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is very, very great, and the land is filled with blood, and the city is full of perversion; for they say, "The Lord has forsaken the land, and the Lord does not see!"

Does that help you any? Change the equation a little?

This passage is a prophecy of the times yet to come. Believers, (those marked by God) will kill as many of those marked by Satan as they can. This will be the way of things during the tribulation. If I were a non believer, I would fight back if I could....only to live another moment before the darkness comes over me for all eternity.

That would be impossible, because the mark of the beast wont be available until the Sunday laws have been passed.

that is not a humans job. That was an angel that was doing the killing. Humans do not have a right to kill other humans no matter what their religion.
that marking work may be done by humans.
But the killing is all done by angels.
Jesus will come with his band of angels and destroy the wicked. No humans are involved.

In that case I reccomend you wake up.

Ezekiel is considered to be nothing more than symbollic by Jews, Catholics, Protestants, and any other religion that believes in the Old Testament.

Sounds like business as usual for Organized Religions. Organized Religions are the root of all evil and should be avoided and banned. I hope this helps. Best Regards, M.G.S.
