George Bush, backed up by several evangelists, has stated Christian God wants him and this country to make Iraq a Democracy. Since Christians do as their God says, in all instances when His name is used, because the Bible "tells them so," why aren't all Christians between 17 and 40 joining the Armed services. They can truly become "Christian Soldiers marching off to war," not just sing about it. It sickens me when I watch a 30 something Christian Conservative blather about God, Iraq, and "our President of this wonderful Christian country," when they have never been in any uniform.

Any God with Compassion and common sense would be telling a President "bring My people home."

America is known for its diversity...we have people of all races and religions..so why is it ok for the government to blatantly endorse a certain religion? Also, why does the pledge of allegiance say "One nation under God" when not everyone in the country believes in God?

Were Jesus` own apostles and other disciples of the first century C.E. scandalously presumptuous toward this Roman Catholik doctrine? Why do we ask this? Because in the twenty-seven books of the "New Testament", the Christian Greek Scriptures, they say nothing about "Transubstantiation" and do not explain the Lord`s supper in that way. Somebody help me to explain this??????

and I'm not trying to make you believe........but to those that do......don't you feel truly bessed that God is so awesome?

I mean, i sit sometimes and think of the sins i've commit against him......yet because of his mercy(i've asked for forgiveness), he has blessed me still in so many ways.

it makes me cry sometimes to think of how merciful he truly is....as undeserving as we can be sometimes.

We had a debate at work about this. There is a huge church right down the street from where I live called World Harvest. Its huge. They won't let you in unless you pay dues. They cancel events if they don't make enough money at the door (this is only what I've heard). The pastor, Rod Parsley, owns a house work 800,000 dollars which by the way in Columbus Ohio is a VERY nice house. He drives a Corvette. The church owns their own jet. Come on now, why can't we use all the money that was spent on these things and, oh, hell, I don't know, feed Africa?

....doing the "judging"; GOD is judge of ALL. Am I right about it?

You see, when we "judge" the ACTIONS of men; we ought to "judge" rightiously; that is; according to the Word of God. And if it is according TO the Word of God, it's not OUR "judgment", it's GOD'S judgment.

Our Lord, Jesus said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." John 7:24

AND it is GOD who will finally judge us ALL in the last day of the "things we have done in this body, whether they be right or whether they be wrong" 2 Cor 5:10.

In FACT, it is those that DO NOT rely on God as judge who can do NOTHING BUT "judge". Why? because they ONLY have themselves to rely on for judgement; and NOT the perfect judgment of God. Amen? A-MEN.

..."Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son." 1 John 2:22

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

(these are all of titles of Christ Jesus, which proclaim him to be "Mighty God" among other things.)

It's also found in the Bible published by the Watch tower society also - yet, your organization still refuses to accept the deity of Christ.

Colossians 2:9 "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form."

(Christ is God in the flesh.)
Bottom line: Everyone is entitled to believe what they want to believe, but you have flaws in your theory.

My freshman year of college, some girl tried to bring a campus tour through my dorm's bathroom while I was in the shower. I had to stand there stark naked and explain to her why that wasn't such a good idea.

I'm not putting down either side, because you can believe whatever you want. I don't want opinions. I want data. I would be very interested to see the results.

For my part, I've attended numerous houses of worship of various religions and sects and I can say I've learned something positive from each and every one of them. I'm assuming there are others here who have had the same experience. So I'm asking, what POSITIVE things have you learned from having a close interaction or even involvement with those of other faiths?

The Rosicrucian Order is shrouded in mystery. Centuries old, it is a mystical interpretation of Christianity, and draws inspiration from works other than the Bible. It also has a strong flavor of Western Mystery Traditions; note the similarities between Rosicrucian rituals and Theosophy.

The most interesting notion of Rosicrucianism is its acceptance of the blood line of Christ. It contends that there is lineage from Christ down to the present day. It is held in Rosicrucian thought that the Merovingian kings of France were part of this lineage. The traditional head of the Rosicrucian order is said to be a literal descendant of Christ.

The last known personality claimed for this position was Jean Cocteau. Cocteau certainly used Rosicrucian imagery in his art. I have to say, however, that if Cocteau was the last descendant of the bloodline of Christ, the line has died out!

Your thoughts on the idea of this? Do you think there is any possibility of such lineage?
