Jesus was crucified on a cross. As He shed his blood, he covered our sins. He died so that we may have eternal life with Him. He took on the sins of all humanity so that we may have a way to repent. By dying an imperfect man, He allowed us, as imperfect people to be covered by His blood and be forgiven if we are truly repentent for what we have done.
John 1 I think explains it:
In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a]
and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it
In other words, God, in the human form of Jesus brought us out of darkness so that we may live and not be separated from Him.
Here is another verse that may shed some light on the topic:
Romans 6:6
6For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
Footnotes:
Romans 6:6 Or be rendered powerless

Hi,
Everybody on earth was condemned to die by God because we all have sins. Ezekiel 18:20, Romans3:23
God loves us (mankind) so much but he had to remain faithful to his pronouncements so he made a deal with himself. Since there must be a dieing for every sin, let me (God) take their place in death. John3:16, 1John4:10
This must have been a little puzzle for God because to die effectively for man, you had to be a man. God had to come as man. He came as Jesus. Phillipians2:6-8. Romans5:18-19.
Jesus died for us by hanging on the cross to fulfill the injunctions of prophecies. Remember everything was brought about by God's word. He is the boss. Galatians3:13, Hebrews1:3
I can only try. The Holy Spirit will do the rest.

From the time of the Book of Genesis, a blood sacrifice was required to forgive sin and reconcile with God.
A perfect sacrifice was required.
The sins of the world were so great that only God Himself, made into a fleshly man (Jesus) was perfect enough to bring about forgiveness for the sins of all humanity.

before Jesus got here interior the flesh, we are informed that sinners who repented have been stored with the aid of religion interior the bogus slayed animal sacrifices defined with the aid of God. and prefer those of today, they had to end sinning (that's what repenting skill). the actual atonement, in spite of the shown fact that, occurred with perfect timing whilst Jesus became the marvelous sacrifice those animals prefigured. So before Jesus got here, the folk appeared forward to the bypass on an identical time as those after, look back to the atonement on the bypass. hence, in a manner, you're spectacular: it extremely is the comparable for people who repent of their sins. for people who do no longer, there is not any sacrifice or heaven. It rather does no longer have mattered whilst God could have chosen to deliver Jesus to earth yet being gracious as he's, He gave mankind all the prophecies mandatory to help guy understand the actual Messiah and tutor, as quickly as returned, that God keeps His delivers related to salvation and judgments. He could no longer have made those any clearer.

A long time ago, there were lots of sinners, just like there is now. Jesus the son of God had to sacrifice himself so that everyone could have their sins forgiven.
He was crucified on a cross, he had to carry his own cross to where it would be placed, was nailed to the cross and was killed. The Earth shook and palace curtains ripped and everyone knew that this was surely the son of God. He then rose three days later. Anyone who believes now can ask for the forgiveness of their sins and they will be forgiven.

Here it is...
People are messed up, no argument here.
God is HOLY, we are not, therefore we could not have any kind of relationship with Him
God loved us, so Jesus died for us. Why?
Because only someone without sin can be an atonement for us.
Jesus took up all of our sins, past, present, future, so that we can have a relationship with God. Thank You Jesus!

Scripture says that the wages sin pays is death. Adam sinned, his "wage" was death. He was no longer perfect and could no longer pass on to his children perfection. Therefore, we are born into sin.
Jesus was not born of Adam. His Father was God. He was perfect. In all his 33 1/2 years he did not sin. So he did not deserve or "earn the wages" of death. He offered up his perfect life in sacrifice. After his resurrection, he presented to God his sacrifice, much in the same way that the High Priests in Israel offered up their animal sacrifices to atone for the nation's sins. Jesus offered to God, once for all times, a perfect human life for the perfect human life lost by Adam.

Jesus was sent to Earth by God himself as his only son. An angel came to Mary to tell her that she was to have a baby, and name it Jesus, she did. Jesus grew up as a pretty normal boy, never sinning, learning and playing as the others did. he learned carpentry and taught priests, and others performed miracles through God and pretty much became an amazing guy. but as time wore on God saw the sins in the world (i mean, he already had, but he chose to let jesus do his work) and so since he didn't want to flood the earth again, he did this: the pharisies became angry because of jesus's claim to be the messiah or God's son. they took him to Pontias Pilate to persecute him, but he could find no wrong, so he washed his hands as a symbol that jesus's blood was now in the people's hands. they made him carry a huge cross up to a hill where they whipped him non stop and nailed his hands and feet to the cross and planted it into the ground. they divided his few belongs amongst themselves and mocked him by putting a crown of thorns around his head. there he hung his after hours and cried out to the Heavens, "Father, forgive them" and he died. for us, because we sinned so much. the romans had heard something that jesus would rise again in three days and so they posted guards around his tomb and rolled a huge rock infront, in three days time the rock was rolled back by God and jesus was seen by all his disciples, and over 5oo other people, performing more miracles, until God called him home to heaven where he was resurected into the sky and now judges the world as God's right hand man!

He said he was the son of God
and that he came to save the world
and that no one would come to the father
but by him (and was written about prior to his coming)
some people were awaiting his prophecy to be fulfilled
since he was born... etc...
All this was foretold in the old test.
But.... some didn't believe him and thought he was crazy etc..
and so tortured and hung him to die on the cross.
And while he was on the cross, still alive... God imputed the Sins of the world on his son and after that was done he said "it is finished" or tetalestie (spelled wrong) and then prophecy was fulfilled.
