George Bush, backed up by several evangelists, has stated Christian God wants him and this country to make Iraq a Democracy. Since Christians do as their God says, in all instances when His name is used, because the Bible "tells them so," why aren't all Christians between 17 and 40 joining the Armed services. They can truly become "Christian Soldiers marching off to war," not just sing about it. It sickens me when I watch a 30 something Christian Conservative blather about God, Iraq, and "our President of this wonderful Christian country," when they have never been in any uniform.

Any God with Compassion and common sense would be telling a President "bring My people home."

LMAO Amen and pass the ammo. I know where to tell them to go now! Thanks. We would have to draft them though. They really don't want to go to heaven and miss the rapture.

I am a believer in Christ, but this is NOT a Christian country.
We have certain rules and we are NOT a democracy. We
are a representative republic. I don't want this country to
enforce my beliefs on government. We are not to have any
religion for our country. That is why they left England. No state
religion. Besides, Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Army and He
does our battles. Furthermore, how do YOU know how many
of our military are Christians. You DON'T!

Because a lot of Christians, including myself, think Bush is an idiot, a poor representative of Christianity and God thinks this war is BS.... thats why :)

I think the point is we're there. What happens after he leaves, is beyond my guess. In my opinion, it's going to depend on what the next president does.

I am a Christian, and I wore my navy uniform with pride. I am not for wars, but don't think for one second that Christians don't join the military and fight for this country.

Because Bush does not represent all Christians just (in my humble opinion) the neo-cons. Bush is an abomination upon the US and the World

GWB is not my God. If the last election had gone the way I wished it would have, he wouldn't even be my president. I agree with your sentiment that the Iraq war is a huge fiasco.

But I don't agree with your argument that anyone who supports a war must personally volunteer for combat in order to not be a hypocrite. That argument is just plain silly.

Four words come to mind...

"Thou Shalt Not Kill"

Enough Said.

You know, no war has ever been fought in the name of the goddess. Maybe everyone should just become pagan. Wiccans are good people and their creed is to do no harm.
