I've heard stories of young children, around 2 or 3 that act possessed. I assume that's too young for a mentally ill person to know enough of anything to blame any particular religious character or to behave according to a Christian description of what happens. But, the majority of the rest of the world don't have the same culture at all as America or Europe so what do they say it is?

last night I posted asking people if they would like to have a discussion in a chat room
all religious and non religious beliefs were welcome but they had to respect each others opinions
I got mixed reactions from people saying it wouln't happen
but we had Fundamental Christians , Catholics , Muslim , Atheists and myself a Spiritualist all in one room
and it was a lovely night
yes there were a few things which got a bit heated at times , but we respected each other and things settled down
but in the end , we all left a little more enlightened about each other and I think we all found some new friends
infact I think we came to the conclusion that we had very little differences

if this can happen in a chat area with some deep discussions going on between people of very different beliefs... why not everywhere ?

By this I mean, that Buddha clearly stated there was no creator/personal god?

However, many western buddhist sects appear to promote the idea of a monotheistic religion, who believes in a higher power that they call god, who can control whether or not you are granted entrance into his "heaven", or if you need a rebirth....

about mankind, Satan had his opinion God had His/Hers and they bartered the life of one man and God amicably agreed to let Satan do his worst and each wanted to prove a point, and that man was Job. Do you feel that all of that was necessary and doesn't it also show that whether we like it or not God & Satan sort of work together sometimes?

Jesus never said he was God. He acknowledged Jehovah as God and said he is the “Son of God” and the “Son of Man”. Are some people confused and do you believe this bothers Jesus and God to hear this mix up? Jesus said he is the light. Meaning he is the light who was sent to get you threw the wilderness. He is Gods ultimate vessel. But he never ever called himself God himself. If you don’t believe me read everyone of the books in the bible that quotes exactly what Jesus said and you will see he is our Lord and Jehovah is our God. I am a Christian and I bring this point up because of my love for Jesus and Jehovah.

a generalizing of ALL christians. If I were to say ALL christians I would be putting an entire group into one narrow statement. So How do you address those who are ignorant with reguards to a spacific argument while not being perceived as directing the statement at ALL of them?

The Bible Ecclesiastes 9: 4 - 6
Anyone who is among the living has hope, even a live dog is better off than a dead lion ! For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten. Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished; never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun.

No priests or bishops in the Church at Rome (besides some exceptions regarding converts) can be married, the Eastern Church allows priests to marry, but not Bishops. Some protestant churches believe that the "one wife" refers to divorce. I think it refers to having more than one wife i.e. polygamy.

Can anyone clarify?

doesnt the koran say that muslims should fight those who attack islam? if america or britain support israel, isnt that an attack on islam or on muslims? this isnt an arguement on whether israel's existence is justifiable or not. muslims claim to be peaceful, and my question is why, if their book says they should fight? all the countless verses talking about killing christians and jews, etc. and killing those who attack them... it seems al qaeda are the true muslims in this case. im not a muslim, but if i would be...

Nine-year-old Joey was asked by his mother what he had learned
in
Sunday School.

"Well, Mom, our teacher told us how God sent Moses behind enemy
lines on
a rescue mission to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. When he got to
the Red
Sea, he had his engineers build a pontoon bridge, and all the people
walked
across safely. He used his walkie-talkie to radio headquarters and call
in
an air strike. They sent in bombers to blow up the bridge and all the
Israelites were saved."

"Now, Joey, is that REALLY what your teacher taught you?" his mother

asked.

"Well, no, Mom, but if I told it the way the teacher did, you'd
never
believe it!"

When someone relays a story about seeing angels or demons (assuming they are otherwise sane), what do you think?
