Where do atheists get morals from without the ten commandments or the bible. The best answer says that they existed before they were written in stone.
I would maintain that an atheist's morals come from this same place.

Hopefully this link works:

how come a lot of the christians that answered said really mean things like 'but namely the deafening of your own cold, black coal hearts'and 'Show some backbone', i didn't ask to be mean, i was just saying how i find it hard when people use bible quotes, and they started accusing me of being blackhearted, and besides, i thought it was the christian faith that tells us not to be judgemental, so why did they just judge me like that without even knowing me

When mankind began to spread over the earth and formed into different nations, their history and stories of old would be past down from one generation to another. But as generations past, those stories would change and grow and become exaggerated, etc. So you would eventually have different civilizations believing different things about God- although they would share common themes because they did all originate from the same facts (i.e. stories of a Great Flood).

So God chose a group of people (the Hebrews) to reveal himself to, to keep the real facts straight, etc. In this way, we have the accurate truth being preserved at the same time as different variations of the truth were being passed down and continually morphed.

What do you think about this theory? I'd like to hear from Christians who know their apologetics, as well as the thinking non-believer who does not feel this idea could be plausible and explain why. I hope a get a lot of answers. Thanks!

"God already knows who is going to make it and who isn't, hope you accept him in the near future, please do."

So my question is this: WHY should I accept God if he already knows whether or not I'm going to his fictional hell? Why does anyone need to accept God. By this theory, God made me an atheist.

Thank you for your time. *Tosses cookies into the crowd*

No matter what you believe or don't believe you all treat us horribly. If it wasn't for us slaving 10 to 12 hr a day your lives would be horrible! All I ask is for a little consideration and thought from you people! Bag your trash, use a good sealed lid on your cans, wash out your cans on occasion! My working conditions would make most of you puke!
I could change my job but its what i do, it puts food on my table and puts my kids through school! Just think about what life would be like if no one ever did my job and each and everyone of you had to clean up your own refuse!

alot of people say yes, i believe in God, but believing and accepting Him are two TOTALLY different things.....the bible says that even Satan believes in God, and all his demons, they know there is a God the just refuse to accept Him as the true God. so how many of you out there truly ACCEPT that He died on the cross for YOU, and accept He is coming back? or do you just believe?

If Jesus, god, and the holy spirit are all part of the same "god", then how can I get a fair trial?
Are there any checks and balances built in here?

According to a recent study, .2% of the prison population is atheist or agnostic. That means that 99.8% of the prison population believes in some sort of God. Now obviously, they do not follow the rules of whatever God they believe in, however, they still believe in God. If you believe in God, whether or not you follow your God's rules is irrelevant because belief in God automatically disqualifies you from being an atheist. So where do people get the idea that we are more prone to committing acts of crime??? My guess is that like everything else, the Christians have been told by their church that we are more prone to commit crimes and have ignored the evidence that proves otherwise.

Will God forgive me for making jokes about Jesus being the name of illegal migrant landscapers, if I just got off a plane from Japan and am seriously jetlagged?

Can I argue it down to second-degree blasphemy?
