troll- a user who comes here simply to incite or abuse.. or to make us laugh.
bran muffins- I think that was a "theme day" here.. all q's were about bran muffins.
penguins- many people have a penguin avatar and a war went on between penguins and puffins.. the penguins won.

A troll is a creature that lives under a bridge and uses the internet to bash or intentionally arouse anger in others for entertainment purposes.
Bran muffins are creations that prove divinity beyond a shadow of a doubt in their existance.
As for the penguins, Linus Torvalds contracted one of the first documented cases of penguinitis sometime before 1996 in Australia after being bit by a pygmy penguin. This disease is characterized by staying awake at nights just thinking about penguins and feeling great love towards them, and symptoms include choosing penguin avatars or mascots. It is spreading quickly, and is reaching an epidemic level really, luckily it can be treated with frequent doses of Hexley or BSD-Daemon... Even Gnu the wilderbeast will do for treatment... All the same, protect your fingers lest they might be bitten to spread the infection!
The FSM is the FSM, he is everywhere at once, at least everywhere that gravity is, so I see no reason he shouldn't be around here... Unless of course gravity doesn't work here... Does gravity work here?

It sounds like most have been answered, except Bran Muffins. Bran Muffin is/was a regular on here in the early days. He/She/It (I think he) went to various categories and has/had a cartoon type of avatar that looked like it was in motion.
I've recently noticed more talk about him, with a sort of martyr like mentality by those who are talking. So I think he was kicked out of YA due to comments he'd make.
