In Ezekiel 38 & 39, we're told that Russia and an alliance of nations will attack Israel during a time when Israel will wrongly perceive that there is no immediate threat posed against it.

Magog - Most agree this is a reference to Russia.
Meshech - Most associate this with modern day Turkey, ancient Anatolia, but some say it refers to the Moscow area.
Tubal - Most associate this with modern day Turkey, ancient Anatolia.
Persia - modern Iran
Ethiopia
Libya
Gomer - eastern Europe or Turkey
Togarmah - southeastern Europe or Turkey...Thoughts?

THE WIDOW

Her husband had passed on and the new widow was so distraught that she sought out a spiritualist who told her that her husband was just fine. She added further that he was eagerly awaiting a reunion with her.

"Is there anything he needs?" the distraught woman asked, between tears.

The spiritualist went into a transient state, then replied, "He says he'd love a package of cigarettes."

"I'll send a carton immediately." the woman said joyfully. "But did he say where I should send them?"

"No," replied the Seer somberly. "But he didn't ask for matches."

Jesus is real and our true living God! Jesus is the only way to heaven. He loves us all and He saves. No sins will enter heaven. Jesus forgives us of our sins if you accept Him and live for Him!! All sins and all evil will only end up in hell. praying for the lost souls. Jesus does love you.

Christians are limited in what they can do or say in Polictics, Education and on moral issues. We are told, separation of Church and State. But yet the Constitution does not say separation of church and state. It only limits the government on this issue. But if think about it, (ie. Evolution is a type of religion (faith in science)) nothing would be taught, you would not have a policital system, you wouldn't even have the right to choose what morals you want to follow. It all revolves around faith. Faith in what, God Almighty, self, science or what

I hear that sometimes people get 'black listed'. What is this all about. Has anyone ever had a bad experience leaving a church because your views changed? Just curious.

`You will hardly find one among the profounder sort of scientific minds without a religious feeling of his own... His religious feeling takes the form of rapturous amazement at the harmony of natural law, which reveals an intelligence of such superiority that compared with it, all the scientific thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection. This feeling is the guiding principle of his life and work, in so far as he succeeds in keeping himself from the shackles of selfish desire. It is beyond question closely akin to that which has possessed the religious geniuses of all ages.'

Ive always wondered why blacks in America are so feverently Christian, when the religion was used to enslave them, and was later used to justify their enslavement...

Recently, it dawned on me that The Church has probably been the only solid social institution that hasnt turned its back on Blacks throughout the history of the United States - it has been there for them through the periods of slavery, segregation, Jim Crow laws and racism that is still prevalent.

IS THIS WHY many blacks in America today are so religious?

If your knowledgeable and open minded then you would not claim God doesn't exist or call it mythology when it hasn't been proven false. Belief in God isn't the same as belief in myth or superstition or the Bible. I mean God as creator of everything. I have studied biology as well as physics. I see it as possible God created everything. This includes history which is cause and effect. God gave us the illusion of a free will and the concept of heaven and hell, religion and morality to steer our behavior. Just think what the world would be like if everyone believed in cause and effect. There would be no progress. Everyone would just do what they needed to survive and would not feel responsible for their actions. People would even giveup on living. God, right now, is the only explanation. When you have nothing else, the only explanation no matter how crazy, is the most possible. I think not believing in God is very close minded, but maybe God just made you that way.

(Of course there are exceptions to every rule, so I'm not looking to hear from the exceptions per se).

Fierce invectives against women form a conspicuous and grotesque portion of the writings of the Church fathers.
— W. E. H. Lecky

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord
— Ephesians 5:22

Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife
— Proverbs 21; 19

A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day, restraining her is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with the hand.
— Proverbs 27; 15/16

A normal feminine influence in recasting our religious assumptions will do more than any other one thing to improve the world.
— Charlotte Perkins Gilman

Why do Religious people constantly use Albert Einstein to justify their beliefs. Do you people not realize that Einstein did not believe in God. When Einstein said God, he was using the word God as a metaphor for the natural laws that govern the universe. This is a quote from Albert Einstein in 1954.

"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

If Atheists say "If I don't see it I don't believe it" then does that mean if you don't see a hurricane then it didn't happen at all? and if you say others told you about it but it wasn't on the news then isn't that the same concept as many people tell you there is a God and his son died on a cross but you don't believe it

I am just trying to mak a point please no rude comments

An all-powerful, all-knowing God would know beforehand who gets into heaven and who doesn't. So why try and accept him to get saved? He already knows whether he's going to save me or not regardless of what I do. Free will? I daresay not. If your God exists then it is predestined that I should be an atheist. Thereby, he has already condemned me to this supposed 'lake of fire'. Why preach to me to accept him into my heart then?
