It doesn't sound weird. I would love to do that too. It does sound hard to do though. I doubt it pays much at all. Even the guys on "Ghost Hunters" talk about their job being Roto Rooter. So ghost hunting is a side thing for them s it must not pay alot even if you have a TV show.

Go for it, but do me a favor. When you become a ghost hunter, have them put a camera on your head that points the same way as your face. I'm getting sick of the cameras filming the ghost hunters, then they say, "What was that over there?" Then, the camera turns, and the guy says, "It's gone now, but I swear I saw something!"
If he had a camera pointing in that direction, we would have seen it too!!!

Well it sounds neat (love the Ghost Hunter's show), but I'd also have a backup plan for a career to...no one hears of ghost hunters making much money and rarely ever getting a show...

If you're determined to do that, a degree in Paranormal Studies from a college or university might improve your chances of succeeding. High school is just the jumping-off point, pursue your education further before you start pursuing ghosts.

GO TO COLLEGE.
Get a degree and then think about what you want to do. Following a TV show is a wonderful dream, but life is a practical matter. No matter what field you go into a college education will give you more of a solid foundation

Good luck. All jobs (especially independent contractor type jobs) boil down to sales. You'll have to convince people they have ghosts and that they need you more than the other clowns in the industry.

No... do what pleases you, rather than what pleases others, although it's wise to make sure you've got a good job to feed yourself, so choose wisely. Congratulations on your graduation also!
