Yes. I know someone who was raised in that religion, but is not involved in it anymore. They're a Russian Christian group (now in the U.S. and other areas). They're pacifists. They also observe kosher dietary laws. Here's the Wikipedia entry:

faith started on fear of uncertainty. ancient man, food was important than even shelter and clothing. when he was going for hunting, he was not sure of getting prey. so he started praying for a prey!
