When I miss, I definitely feel an emptiness. Our priest and deacon are wonderful speakers and really hit home with their sermons. They do not, however, make us feel guilty if we miss a week. Most of the times that we have missed is because we are out of town. The other times we have missed is because one of us is sick.

I'm pagan, so I don't go to church like the Christians do, but when I miss a Circle, or a Ritual, I do feel an itch to have another one right away. In fact, yesterday was June 21, and the summer solstice. The person who was supposed to do the ritual had to step out in the last minute, so I did it instead, at the spur of the moment, just so the club and I didn't have to miss this solstice. I just really miss having ritual, and feel a real need to have one if I happened to miss one.

I miss something major anytime that I skip Mass. Fortunately, between the various local churches, there's usually a way for me to catch a service weekly. Also, I work with the music at my church, so I'm there fairly frequently. On vacation, I enjoy attending services at churches that are new to me. But sometimes, I do miss services, and when that happens, I end up missing out on something special.

In the Catholic Church it is a sin but, yes I do feel that way and I feel that way for any of the Masses I do not go to that I normally do--not just Sundays

No, because my pastor is not manipulative like that. We receive Communion, which is Christ's body and blood, and so the service is annointed. Period. If I miss it one week, there's always the next. We don't play games with people's emotions that way.

Yeah except ... I'm the pastor. I miss about two sabbaths a year.
It's really bad if the congregation tells you how annointed the service was when your not there. lol.

I feel that way every single time I miss. I haven't missed in nearly two years. I even went when my youngest son was three days old. God Bless.

Well, if it's the truth, a true religion you need that weekly and also in between spiritual nurishment.
Be sure it is a truthful religion and not one based on falsities like the trinity, praying to Jesus instead of our heavenly father, Jehovah God, and that the teacher is not promoting politics, or anything else detestable to Jehovah God.
