Will God forgive me for making jokes about Jesus being the name of illegal migrant landscapers, if I just got off a plane from Japan and am seriously jetlagged?

Can I argue it down to second-degree blasphemy?

I understand it better than you do, dear.

If you were asking a serious question I would say yes all you need to do is repent. I do have to say that it must be hard to mock something that you understand but then try to say I will argue it down to a second-blasphemy. To God all sin is sin. The penalty of sin is death. You can call it what you want but if its sin it is worthy of death. The good news is that yes God can and will forgive you if you are sincere.

That reminds me about something on here the other day about Scott Peterson finding god, religion or jesus in jail.....and someone responded something along the lines of there being more than on jesus in prison. I thought it was a hoot. And I probably won't be liked for this one, but if it makes you feel any better, I am not sure that jesus existed. OK don't judge me to hard I believe in god. And I think god can handle a good joke.

Forgiveness comes with a repentant heart. If we know we are doing something wrong and feel bad about doing it, ask for His forgiveness, and do our best to never do it again, He will forgive.

If we keep doing it over and over, knowing it's a sin, then that's a different outcome. To become a better person is what's needed, put on the new personality.

I don't really understand your question? Are you rephrasing your joke again? There is no reason to repeat it. God does forgive, in fact He's forgiven you already for it even before you were born. God forgives us even before we ask Him to. The question is, do you want His forgiveness?

,All sins will be forgiven if you are truly sorry and ask God to forgive you. The only sin that will not be forgiven is sinning against the Holy Spirit, God Bless

your own guilt is the punishment! When you forgive yourself, you open the door to God. By staying self-abusive, you close the door to healing power of God. You must 'let' it in
