Ok.
I believe that they exists because people want them to.

I believe that out there, within all of us, and everywhere, there is divinity, and for lack of a better word, I'm going to call it the Ultimate Being. Its huge, and its incomprehendable, and as humans, we can't possibly understand it as a whole, because its far too huge. But its a part of us, and some of us want to feel connected with it. So in order to feel connected to this Ulitmate Being, we have to split it up into different god-forms to understand it, because we can't as a whole. So each god-form that humans create is just a mask that the Ultimate being wears so we can understand it.

For example, Jesus can be seen as one aspect of the Ultimate being, and if, for whatever reason, you wanted to connect with a loving, but jealous and resentful being, you could worship and connect with him. He's not good at doing some things, though. Like studying. I've never seen any scripture that made any reference to him being a God of studious activities, BUT I know that Athena, the Goddess of Art, Weaving and War is VERY good at studying... So if I needed help in my life with studying, as I am a student, I ask Athena for help.
In the end, I'm asking the Ultimate Being for both, but I'm using specific god-forms to help get my point across better.

So long story short,...
If you believe in the existence of The Flying Spaghetti monster or the Invisible Pink Unicorn, and you get something out of it, go for it. If you believe it, it exists, because in one way or another, you're communicating with the Ultimate Being,... a very goofy, and darkly fun aspect of it.

I've actually found spaghetti sauce on my truck like you would bird poop! There is only two ways it could of happened, either the giant spaghetti monster flew over my house or some one in Italy spilt their plate and a few drops of sauce when through a worm hole that the other end just happened to be over my truck!
Couldn't tell you on the coloration of the herds of invisible unicorns and rabbits living near my farm, but my dogs know they are there none the less!

I believe you ate Spaghetti one night laced with LCD and God is speaking to you. He took the form of a stringy, giant Spaghetti monster and then the universal archetype of the Pink Unicorn showed for some odd reason. Well anyway, I believe in them both. I particularly like spaghetti, by the way.

His Noodliness the Flying Spaghetti Monster of course, isn't it bloody obvious that He's the One?
All heathens of that nonsense unicorn crap should be put to death really. Or worse, being denied spaghetti with meatballs for ever. That'll show them! Hah!

A lot of waffle that adds nothing to the argument. You do not demonstrate any meaningful difference between God and Santa Claus. Putting an imaginary object outside of the universe does nothing towards evidence for its existence. I could just as easily put any other imaginary item there. Indeed is that not where the Dr. exists?

Certainly. I believe in the existence of all concepts, ideas, images, metaphors, etc. As ideas, not as material reality.

But I'm still trying to figure out how they know it's pink if it's really invisible.

I do. I read about his noodley appendage in the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and it touched my heart.
