How do we know that EVERYTHING in the Bible is inspired from God? Human WROTE the bible CLAIMING to be inspired from God's words but have no proof. Sure some of the things in the bible are true, but most of those predictions were ALL COMMON SENSE! "Is it not common sense that a 3rd tower would be rebuilt in Israel?", "Is it not common sense that Israel would once again become a nation?".

I'm not saying "GOD DOESN't EXIST!" but what I am saying is that "NOT EVERYTHING IN THE BIBLE IS INSPIRED FROM GOD!". You have no proof that EVERYTHING IS INSPIRED FROM HIM.

YOU MUST BE THE JUDGE AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG!

Are you against homosexuality because of a Phobia? Or is it TRUELY because "God said so?"

Did you know that when you say things like, "God said so" it makes you sound stupid!?

Example:

"Why do plants grow?"
"Because God makes it grow~"

Please don't use god for an EXCUSE of your CLOSE MINDEDNESS and for YOUR IGNORANCE!.

"Jesus saith, I am the way the truth and the life, no one cometh unto heaven but by me." John 14:6

As a Jew I was born to believe that God lied and that I could be good enough to get to heaven without a blood atonement to forgive my sins.

Moses said "Without the innocent shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." "The life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it upon the altar to make atonement for your sins." Leviticus 17:11

where is your forgiveness of sins?? can you be better than Jesus and earn your salvation. If you die and only told one lie-can you forgive your own lie-can your religion-Jesus says no=

"Except you repent, and be born again you can not see the kingdom of heaven." John 3

the words of Jesus from heaven Revelation 1:1&3:19&20 "I love you and ask you to repent quickly, Behold I stand at your heart door and knock, if you hear my word and ask me in, I will come in forgive your sins and be your friend."

Jesus is my righteousness

Last night an old man died. He was an alcoholic who always put booze ahead of the needs of his family. He spent the last year in a nursing home, being contrary and rude, never showing gratitude to those who went out of their way to bring comfort and dignity to his final days.

When his daughter-in-law, my younger sister, called his family and friends, the only person who cried was his old bartender.

Now here is the part I find interesting. Last night before he died, he looked at the photo of his wife and said, “I can’t find her.” His wife died of cancer a couple of years ago. He was verbally abusive throughout her illness. Now he seemed to be looking for her as he died, and he couldn’t find her.

Right before my grandmother died, she thought her son who died of a brain tumor was standing beside her bed. This seems to be fairly normal to feel the presence of loved ones who had passed on.

Just curious how people of different faiths view this?

Christian publications are great.
Your own thoughts are great.
Ask the Holy Spirit on my behalf is great(er) hehe.
Bible references in addition to from 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete."

thank you much!

It is appearant the the religious view athiests a group who share a common belief system. Is there a problem viewing each person as an individual? Can I not live in this world as a minority of one? Gotta love the lables.

Christians read and accept it but it isn't mean't to REPRESENT Christians. Christ's teachings and way of life are what Christians are spposed to live up to. The New testament is what we are supposed to use as our guide.

The Old Testament is was represents Jews. The NT is what represents Christians and the Quran represents what Islam stands for.

Christians just accept the OT but dont' live their life accordingly. We focus on Christs teachings.

Do you use the Old Testament to bash Muslims?

I have heard there is one sin that cannot be forgiven. How does one go about commiting this sin? Would I have to say it out loud? Would calling the Holy Spirit bad names be sufficient? How would I know if I were successfull, besides waiting to die and seeing if I am in Hell?

I would get ill if I saw people in hell, on fire and suffering. I would try to help them regardless of whom they did or did not worship. If I was all powerful, I would destroy the fire pit and help those poor people.

Ok whenever some poor shlop asks 'why are atheists in the R&S section?' some other poor shlops will come along and say it's because they need God or seek the truth even if they won't admit it and other idiotic phrases like that. And correct me if I'm wrong...but most of the time when they use the term God, they mean in terms of some form of Christianity.

Why do the atheists (whom I assure you, aren't searching for that kind of 'truth'), have to be searching for the Christian God? Why not say, they need Allah or Buddha or Odin or Zeus or FSM (hey, gotta get a good list going....).

I really wish we could all just be nice. Please can we try? Just for a day, even? Stop trying to demoralize one another and just acknowledge that despite our different views, we're probably for the most part decent people.

An R & S Amnesty, if you will. Just for today. And maybe for a bit of tomorrow... it might even stick.

“ Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘ I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6)

Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one. (Isaiah 44:8)

Aslo see Isaiah 45:5; 45:14; 45:21; 45:22; 46:5; 46:9; 43:10 all of these verses say there is only one God

Yet part of the mormon doctrine of God is the belief that every male mormon can become a god himself? joseph smith said, " You have got to learn to become gods yourselves the same as all gods before you." Brigham Young said, " The Lord created you and me for the purpose of becoming gods like himself. We are created to become gods like unto out father in heaven.

Namaste ~

After all, no one wants to simply 'jump off the deep end' ...so ...

...what do you think is the way to find out if something is worth your time and
energy?

Does it not all hang on the *results*?

So if you notice people believing in a certain way, and you notice that they
are happy and making good progress, is it safe to try their way of working ....

...or are there other considerations to make? What would they be?

Thank you

Some claim that when one calculates the probability that life would naturally evolve as it has on earth, the results prove that life as we know it is so unlikely that there must have been a creator involved.

However, this conclusion is misleading. It is like dealing out a deck of cards and playing a hand of poker, then calculating the probability that the cards would come out exactly as they just had. This situation would also show that the chance of things turning out precisely as they already have is very small. Nevertheless, that's the way the hand was dealt.

Your thoughts?

I recently watched this documentary titled "trembling before God" arevealing documentary by Sandi Simcha Dubowski about religion and homosexuality ,mainly gay jews.
All of them expressed the struggle and the fact that no matter hwo hard they tried no to be attracted to a man they just could not change their sexual orientation even if they were not engaging in sexual activity. My question is how can religious groups call HOMOSEXUALITY a choice and therefore a sin? noone wakes up in the morning deciding to be attracted to the person of the same sex, the gay people even if they do not engage in any sexual activity they still are attracted to people of the same sex, how can you call that a choice and therefore a sin? it is not their fault if they feel attracted to someone of the same sex why do religious people do not understand that?

How do you know what ~ or who ~ to believe?

We cannot just take things 'on hearsay' ... so..

What sort of credibility do people need to
establish in order for you to trust them?

Or do you just let it all go?

Is it not the beginning of *Wisdom* simply to say, "I don't know"?

I've just been reading a christian website about rock music. How it makes people kill themselves and other people, and how it hypnotises us.

Do you believe in this at all? I listen to rock, and I have never had the urge to kill someone or myself by listening to it.

Christians follow the New Testament. We only care for the creation story and the Ten Commandments. That's it. the New Testament is what represents what Christianity is all about and there was no wars waged and that much blood spilled (mostly Christs').

So why use the Jewish Testament to ridicule Christians?

All the Old Testament was good for was to make sure Jesus was born... notice how all the events that happen lead up to Christs birth and then just ends?

God basically used the Jews to ensure that his Son was born. But it's the New Testament that we go by.

So why use the Jewish Torah against Christianity?

nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Luke 20:36 This verse says that angels cannot die, so if jesus was an angel how did He die?

He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. Hebrews 1:3-4 Jesus is better then the angels.

But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “ Let all the angels of God worship Him.” If Jesus was an angel then He is disobeying God and not worshipping himself. God said all angels will worship Jesus.

But to which of the angels has He ever said:“ Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? This verse is saying angels are the ones who proclaim Jesus.

Jesus was not an angel. Jesus was God.
