I think it would be wonderful. I would like for anyone that I have made angry to forgive me. OK? Please? I really did not mean to make anyone angry, that is not what I set out to do when I write a question or answer. I love the question from the girl that ask where the kindness from 9/11 went. Let's bring it back without having a disaster like Katrina or attack like 9/11.

I have had it with all the backbiting and demoralization of other people for what they believe in and only because they think or believe differently than others. I am happy with an amnesty but I would appreciate even more a basic tolerance and respect for others . Just a little courtesy and decency can go a long way. Perhaps even some of us can be friends but it takes a listening ear and an open heart and mind and this does not mean that you have to give in on any of your beliefs but you may a greater feeling in what you believed and yet know how others do as well. All it takes is the first step and an amnesty is a beginning.

This is one of the first times I've come to the religion section (I'm usually in science). The combativeness seems a little ridiculous. Being LDS and having many of the attacks (nearly all of which are ignorant) directed at my faith gets old. Contentious comments and "questions" are not going to change the fundamental belief system of anybody. This forum would be a fantastic opportunity for open discussion and genuine questions about the beliefs, faiths and values that surround all of us.
There could be nothing better for this forum than a permanent "R&S amnesty"

"fight" was found 13 times in 12 verses in the New Testament.
John 18:36 - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Acts 5:39 - But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
Acts 23:9 - And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
1 Corinthians 9:26 - I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
2 Corinthians 7:5 - For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
1 Timothy 6:12 - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
2 Timothy 4:7 - I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Hebrews 10:32 - But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
Hebrews 11:34 - Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
James 4:1 - From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
James 4:2 - Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Revelation 2:16 - Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

A fruitful discussion or useful series of answers would need to be diverse to have any merit. You want to ban all debate? Might as well not ask questions for 24 hours then it will be very tranquil around here. Pointless waste of time but peaceful

believe you. i think of this communicate board ought to be used for like-minded human beings to debate and proportion innovations for which they stand on consumer-friendly floor. even with the undeniable fact that it additionally needs for use for those with diverse ideals to swap innovations among one yet another and ask/answer questions of opposing viewpoints (so long because it is not mocking or rude). that's many times executed in a civil and rational way; there relatively is not any want for call calling or bashing of religious recommendations. i think some human beings merely get heated whilst others say some thing that would not jive with how they experience. this is completely ordinary, yet i'm hoping human beings will attempt slightly harder to maintain a funky head.

I don't exclusively hang out in this category.
There are Guidelines for use of this site, including not insulting other participants, and not posting non-questions or non-answers.
Whenever you see a violation, you should use the Report Abuse link so Yahoo removes the offending post and docks the abuser points.
Chronic abusers are banned.
If more people did this, there's be a LOT less sludge on this site, and a lot more reasonable question and answer stuff.
BTW, this is really not a quesiton -- except for asking if we tired. It may even get removed as a statement or rant, not a question.

Yeah all the garbage that goes on in here is really quite tiring. Unfortunately there will be people on all sides who will say or do something to upset somebody from another group and then the drama will start once again. It's nice that there are people like yourself who want peace.

i agree but as for the rest of the community some refuse to do so and then the fussing and name calling comes back around.they are some people that all they know how to do is put others down and keep giving ppl low self esteem.it would be nice if the fighting and name calling could at least be put to the side.

I'm trying to get to 11,000 points before I quit for the day, good questions are few, and far between. Its just verbal sparring, not a bad thing, and sometimes a few truths get hammered out because of it. Thats progress.
