I find this a very easy answer. Turn to I Corinthians 6:9. It clearly states who will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Homosexuals are listed there. Along with many others! I'm not going to say if it's a choice or not, but I do completely believe that if someone is acting on it they are sinning. Just as I am sinning if I choose to lie or have an affair. A sin is a sin and sinning is wrong.

A while ago I was in psychology class and we read that a gay Dr. had found that homosexuals had a different sized part of the brain.(hypothalumus I think). So it would be something they are unable to control and a part of their biological make-up.
However if you are religious; check Soddom and Gommorah, or Noahs son, definite proof of sin and wrongness. Perhaps to a religious person it is a defect that is wrong in Gods eyes and a person like this should be chaste. The BIble does not show that matrimony is a covenet between two men and God, it is between a man, woman, and God. This is why most christians so strongly reject homosexuality.
If you choose to follow the bible you are basically required to find homosexuality wrong- unless you are one of those religions which only uses the biblical passages you agree with.

your focus to impress should be God and not others, Christian or otherwise
1 Corinthians 10:13
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
This applies to all afflictions, including those concerning the Heart
God Made Us
He Knows How Hard We Have To Struggle
And He Cares
Note How I Use The Words Us And We

Because they believe that's it's a choice. They say it doesn't matter waht you like you choose what you are going to do. God says man and woman not same sex. So they think no matter what you want, feel, love, like, or prefer you follow what he said. My friends brother in law is gay and she thinks he's going to hell. I think it's crazy. I mean I do see the choice in a sense as far as don't do it if you want to be right in their eyes. But at the same time shouldn't you be happy and do what makes you happy? I don't know they just don't like anyone and condemn everyone who isn't perfect by their ways of religion. Which sucks. I mean religion is hope and should be something great yet these perfect people in their perfect world feel it's OK to treat others like crap and judge them. Who are they to judge, I thought only God could judge. And those writings in the bible about being gay etc. I mean who decided that? With everything going on in the world they decided to discuss who you can't or can sleep with. I mean of all things that's the topic they chose to talk about and write about. I think if you are a good person and do what's right by your ways God loves us all and that's it. I mean heck he made you that way not your made yourself that way.

I have heard many problems and questions such as this. I think that religion and sexual orientation do not go together. It also depends how religious you are. I know that Catholics mainly have this issue because I have also read a few articles about this. It's confusing. I hope this helped!

Here's a wonderful website showing that it is highly likely that homosexuality is present before birth. I absolutely believe that one is born gay, but you'll never convince those who think otherwise to see your point. It's too deeply embedded into their beliefs.
However, these short video's are worth watching, if for no other reason than your own peace of mind.

As a current Bisexual, this has puzzled me for quite some time. We may never know why God calls it a sin. According to the Bible, it's wrong though.

Must be very hard to live with the fact that you are gay and can do nothing about it. I hope God understands the dilemma that these people are in and forgives them.

It should only be a matter for those within the religion. Sadly the religious extremists seek to dictate to non followers and show hatred etc. Totally unchristian of them.
