What does the Bible say?

share your own stories about your daily struggles in the choice of whether or not to be gay.
Each day, while you are making that decision and struggling with those internal homosexual desires, how do you overcome them and choose to be straight?
Show everyone that every christian man has those same feelings thus proving that it's a choice, and you are daily (with the help of god) able to overcome your gay lust.
Amen.

of Prophet Abraham. They distorted the facts, invented Trinity, gone astray, abused Prophets, inserted lewd stories, incest, in place of holy verses in their holy books. When finally Muslims adhere to the true teachings they began to torture them. Is this justified.? Don't they think they are answerable to God, where an atom weight of good deed is awared and atom weight of bad deed is punished.

If you read Luke 1:2-3, you will learn, as I did, that Luke (who was not one of the 12 disciples and never met Jesus) said that he himself was not an eyewitness, and the knowledge he gathered was from eyewitnesses, and not as words inspired by God. Incidentally, why does every "Gospel" begin with the introduction According to. Why "according to?" the reason for this is because not a single one of the gospels carries its original author’s autograph! Even the internal evidence of

Eg. "When i was hungry you fed me..." Does that mean we should only feed people, go see them in prison, clothe them etc. But if they need extra towels, the bible didn't say give them any... Who can decide how it's interpretted... so how can god leave us a book with no clear interpretations...

I am someone who enjoys a good discourse (discussion) on all topics, so why do people answering/sharing their idea and opinions do so with anger? Questions are a way to stimulate ones mind and to challenge you personally to find an answer that corresponds with your frame of reference. My question is if you are answering a question that goes contrary to what you personally believe, why do you feel the need to put both the question and the person asking the question down? Can’t you attract more people to your side of a belief by stating your answer politely and not condemning the questioner for just asking a question?

I put this in R&S because religion tends to be un-debatable and people tend to take the offensive very quickly when it comes to religion.

I like Scifi, and I'm a Christian, I liked the Hulk, the Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Spidy, Superman, (Batman begins was not what I thought) The Fantastic Four, Star Trek, I Robot, X-men, The Transformers, etc I like them all.

However with all the great CGI and effects now available to movie makers why not remake Mr DeMills epic The 10 Commandments. Or how about a triogy called "The acts of the Apostles, Starting with the 40 days Jesys returned and stayed with the Apostles thru the Day of Pentecost, and follow the building of the Church. Reasearch the historical accounts of what happened to the original 12, and just make a great epic movie of Gods goodness, as these 12 men took this message to what is now 2000 years later the ends of the earth.

I hope someone like Speilberg, or Gibson reads thios and gets busy as the financial success of The Passion would prove the worth of these types of movie projects.

Any thoughts???? Any producers????

Matt. 12:31, 32, RS: “Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” (If the Holy Spirit were a person and were God, this text would flatly contradict the Trinity doctrine, because it would mean that in some way the Holy Spirit was greater than the Son. Instead, what Jesus said shows that the Father, to whom the “Spirit” belonged, is greater than Jesus, the Son of man.)
John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

Bono, seriously how does your Faith affect your music?? You seem to be a person that when I look at you, you are bathed in the purest white light.. It seems to create a real peace for anyone who can see that white light. I don't know how any one couldn't see this light as it so bright. I am not messing with you at all. It is just one of the gifts I have been given and that is how you appear in my visions.

In otherwords, most people who attend church regularly will make you feel bad, condemned and seem perverted for enjoying masturbation, looking at nude bodies of the opposite sex, and other "carnal" pleasures.

However, you know that these same people fantasize about these things, as well as think and behave differently in private when their "church friends" do not see them and know what they are thinking. However, Jesus said our thoughts are equally as important but we all seem to lie to each other about enjoying pleasure. Why can't we just admit that we enjoy stimulation through sex, masturbation, and visual pleasure without making both single and married people in the church feel like dirt or scum if they openly admit it?

Married people seem to be particularly arrogant and condescending about this subject to the single members in the church.

To be more specific...The idea of a SINGULAR creation deity is illogical to me. I do see similarities between mammal and primate behavior and anatomy. And a few similarities between mammal and reptiles/birds. Not very many though. Even with millions of years to consider, primates seem to be relatively 'new' on the scene and don't seem to have that much in common with reptiles or birds. (Also, I thought I saw in an Archeology magazine, of the 'current' homo sapien skeleton's found, none are older than 6,000 years. Any info on this?)

Like 80% of america believes in God so sayith some poll, but the internet is quickly spreading the knowledge of known science. Unfortunately we still have a long way to go. Most of the republican candidates don’t believe in evolution much less the invalidity of the supernatural world. And yes religion is the most powerful tool for controlling people (Bush did say God told him to invade Iraq). So how long do you think before an atheist is the next president elect...20, 50, 100 years?
