Matt. 12:31, 32, RS: “Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” (If the Holy Spirit were a person and were God, this text would flatly contradict the Trinity doctrine, because it would mean that in some way the Holy Spirit was greater than the Son. Instead, what Jesus said shows that the Father, to whom the “Spirit” belonged, is greater than Jesus, the Son of man.)
John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

Jesus explains Matthew 12 in John chapter 14. He explains that the work of the Holy Spirit is to lead people to him so they can be saved. The word "blasphemy" means to reject the work and words of a person. If one rejects the work and words of the Holy Spirit, they will not be lead to Jesus and be saved. Thus their sins will not be forgiven. If they speak against Jesus or even God, but then are led by the Spirit to faith, they can be forgiven. But if they are never lead to faith, then they are nor forgiven.

It is not that the Holy Spirit is "greater" then Jesus, but rather that his work comes first in a persons life. If the person never takes the first step, all the rest are worthless.

John 14:28 is explained in Philippians 2:5-11. It teaches that Jesus was equal with God the Father, but that he gave up that position for a time and became a servant in human form. During the time of his incarnation (while he was on earth in human form) Jesus had laid aside his divine position. So for that time, God was greater then him. When he returned to Father (as he was there saying he would do), it was because he was going back to reclaim that "greater" position. According to Philippians 2, he did just that. He is now back in the position of equality with God the Father.

The verse, however, doesn't say that the Father is greater than Jesus in all respects. Just because there's a difference in function does not indicate an inferiority in nature. For example, my boss is "greater" than me in that he makes the key decisions for the store where I work. That does not mean, however, that he's ontologically greater than I am, just that he has a greater degree of function. Likewise, the three persons of the Trinity each perform a different function. "The Father chose to be the fount and source of [redemption]; the Son chose to be the Redeemer and to enter into human flesh as one subject to the Father; and the Spirit chose to be the Sanctifier of the church, the indwelling Testifier of Jesus Christ". James R. White, The Forgotten Trinity, p. 66.

you're able to rigorously examine the Bible! the circumstances below which the unpardonable sin replaced into committed replaced into unique to the days of Jesus and the apostles and would't be committed on the instant. people who accused Jesus of working miracles with the aid of the capability of devil additionally knew he replaced into the Son of God and that the capability with the aid of which He worked the miracles replaced into with the aid of the capability of the Holy Spirit. those human beings have been extra in contact approximately their acceptance than acknowledging Jesus for who he replaced into. right here the point replaced into set with the aid of fact there replaced right into a 2 fold heavenly witness present day and hence could not be denied.

I see you are a Bible reader, and not a Christian, you seem to be to smart to know Jesus, and the meanings of the message. You need to first come to know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and trust in him for all the things and strength you need in your life. Then you need to kneel before the Lord and ask him to open his word to you, and ask for his understanding to be your understanding, and ask him to reveal to you his word. Instead of find fault and not understanding the word. I pray every time I go to read the Bible for his word to be known to me in the way that he wants me to n know, and not my understanding. I trust that then you could see the word, and not your so-called faults with the Bible! Have a Great Day in the Lord Jesus1
