Just curious.

Atheists do not believe in God. That is a fact. But do they have fears? That may be a fact too. People who have dirty consciousness would rather not to believe in God. In that way they do not have anything to fear. Anything to be scared of.

I just see this as a fact: we are here for some reason. And whatever bad things we do, we may have to pay for it. But atheism is maybe a way to try to avoid that.

I am not here to judge, but how is that of believing we came from nothing?
I don't like to judge, but did you think sometime back years ago there was nothing and then something?

I don't like to judge, but is it easier to believe that the universe was there and was created by nobody?

I don't like to judge, but does evolution theory really make sense?

Would you explain me who do you think create the universe? The stars and all in it? Did it create itself? You don't have to say what created it, just what do you think created the whole universe?

Why does it seem like Atheists assume ALL Christians dismiss science? Here's an interesting program that was on PBS that has just a few interesting scientists and their views of faith and science.

I have nothing against christians or any other religion, but christians are the one's that try 2 recruit the most, why do they do that? Why can't they just let people find the religion that suits them by their own? (also, why do they protest everything??)

Is it good to test your faith sometimes? Do you feel that it helps you to understand it more? When does it backfire and becomes a threat rather than a benefit?

I think hate, greed, the desire to control our fellow man, and lust are characteristics that ALL humans have. You can suppress it, but it is there. Some people just let them out more than others but we all have them.

Hindus, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Atheists, Catholics, etc all of us have the same faults.

I don't think anything would change ( with our behavior = how we treat each other ) if there was no religion.. what do you think?

I am just sitting watching a question asking Christians if they respect others
the Christians were saying yes and I believe most of them were answering honestly
and some non Christians are saying they don't
I have seen questions to Atheists about morals etc , the Atheists reply that they have good morals
while some non Atheists are answering for them and saying they don't
and Muslims saying they are peaceful while some non Muslims saying they are terrorists
this one also applies to homosexuals , when asked if it is a choice ... they will say no
and some hetrosexuals will tell you that they do choose it

why is it that some people don't listen to the people in question ?
I am sure they know themself better than others know them
just a pattern that I have noticed .... have you noticed also ?

it is time to start listening to those in question , don't you agree ?
maybe if we started listening , we could end a lot of this hate

Other than the oppresive tactics of the religious zealots, the atheists have taken their place in the stream of those intolerant of freedom of thought,
has this always been the agenda, or did it just happen that, as soon as atheist numbers began to grow, the average intelligence seriously went down?

Does belief in your religion necessarily negate belief in all others? I ask in response to the many who claim all religions are right. That all religions believe in the same god that created all of mankind - thereby ignoring all the contradictions inherent within each biblical narrative.

why is it that most religions are against killing and wrong doings, when many people have died over religion? if it takes a war to prove that a god is real, is it really worth the fight? religious people often use the saying 'god makes things happen for a reason'...so you're saying god made all those wars break out over him? well then, that must be one selfish god! in all of history, i have never heard of a tragic war where athiests fight to prove god is NOT real. so it may be just me, but atheists must have more common sense then religious people. that's just my opinion. what do all of you think?

Force may conquer the body, but it cannot conquer the spirit. You may subdue an individual or community by the use of force, but you cannot make them believe that you are right. The Algerians were dominated by colonial France for about a hundred years, but that did not make them love their rulers. As soon as they had the opportunity, they rose in arms against their masters and broke their yoke.

It is illogical to believe that Islam had spread itself by force. Mohammad, as one person, could not force thousands or hundreds to embrace his faith. History testifies that Mohammad lived thirteen years in Mecca after he proclaimed his faith, under a constant threat from his opponents who were the overwhelming majority of the Meccans. Anyone that desired to join Islam was denounced, threatened, and persecuted by the Meccans; and, in spite of this, the number of Muslims steadily increased.

Can we conceive that Mohammad under these circumstances could convert people by force when he himself was a subject of persecution? At a later stage, the Muslims had become powerful enough to fight their opponents; and history shows that they did fight for Islam. But this does not mean that Islam had converted people by force. There are now over 100 million Muslims in Indonesia and scores of millions in West Africa.

All these millions were converted through peaceful contacts with Muslims who came to these areas as merchants or educators. There is, however, no reason to deny that Muslims were militant The Muslims actually were good defenders of their freedom We know that no ideology would spread or live in an unfree society. Freedom of belief, practice, and speech, are necessary for the growth of any ideology. In the absence of a constitutional protection of freedom, it would be the duty of the people of the ideology to secure their freedom on their own. If this does not justify the military might of the early Muslims, there will be no way to justify the military might of any modern nation that rises in arms to defend its freedom when it is threatened by its adversaries.

Ive been a Christian all my life, well,Most of it(lol),thanx to my mom being a Minister and all.Well, there are certain things I dont believe in Christianity.I dont believe in "God's Will" - that he can take you through "the Wilderness" in order to bring you out and make you see his Glory. If he wanted Us to Praise him for something he did for us,why not just let us Praise him for something he did, rather than Taking us thru hell?
Anyway,I also dont believe in "A plan" that God has for all of us.
We all are "children" or God,and he loves us equally.Right now, there is a kid in Somalia or wherever who died coz he didnt have any food to eat.And if he gets a Biscuit to eat,He is soo thankful to God for Providing him food.
In the Bible, there are certain cases where God "Delivered the enemies of Israel into their hands, and they(Israel) killed them(Enemies)"
In the same Bible,it says its wrong to take Human life. Its a sin actually. And how come they wrote the bible, events from the 1st Century
