I have nothing against christians or any other religion, but christians are the one's that try 2 recruit the most, why do they do that? Why can't they just let people find the religion that suits them by their own? (also, why do they protest everything??)

they think that doing so will make them closer to god.
Or maybe god will reward them with a set of steak knives when they get into heaven

I am christian and I do not try to bring people in. Yes, there are people that try to recruit other people into their beliefs. I think some people have the misunderstanding of trying to do things on their own. I have been in that place were people have tried to make me believe what they believe. I strongly believe that those people who try and recruit people just have a misunderstanding of the bible. Jesus never tried to recruit he gave people a choice. and that is one of the key elements missing in the ministries today. Some christians just think that they know everything, and I've learned just to let them protest whatever they like. Only God knows the truth and what it takes to make it in. And who will actually be in the number.

First of all it's not really recruiting. It's more like we want people to live forever in heaven and not go to hell.

And Christians are not the majority of throat crammers.
1. Mormons
2.Jehova's witness

They are the people that are knocking on everyones doors.
And NO,NO,NO, neither of these are Christian organizations.
They are cults, made up of thier own religous rules.
Christianity, TRUE Christianity is the belief in Jesus, not a bunch of rules, and regulations. it's a belief in Him and the Word. If some Christians seem overzealous, it's because they truelly care about you, and want you to go to heaven. And when you see a Christian fall, or do something wrong, they are not God, we ALL sin anf fall short of the Glory.

The bible tells us to go tell about it so we do.

Atheists protested because kids said a prayer at school, they protested because the name God was mentioned in the pledge of allegiance, they protested because the ten commandments were on display in a court house, they protest when they meet someone who believes in God(regardless if they are talking about it.).
Atheists build websites that only purpose is to spread hate against Christians, They blame every bad thing in history on Christians. None of the things they cry about hurt them in any way, they just cant let people believe what they want.

You can find way more than you want to count of hateful posts from atheists on here against Christians.

I never met a family of Christians who disowned a family member for being atheist, yet I know of one family of atheists that turned on there daughter for accepting Christ.

So to say Christians protest everything is totally false.

in the Bible we have something called the Great Commision, its where God calls his disciples to "go to the corners of the earth and preach my name." Last time I checked the Koran/Old Testament didn't say anything about that, so, that's one way Christianity is special. and hon, America being a mainly Christian nation, we have the right to free speech. Which means putting up a debate against (or "protesting") things that we don't agree with/like is a big part of Christianity. (it kind of ties into the Great Commision)
Plus I mean, come on, if someone gave you a really, really cool gift, like, say, ummm a new life, wouldn't u want to tell ur friends about it? In my opinion, if you really are someone's friend, you'd want to share Jesus with them.

If they didn't recrute then nobody would join their religion. Their numbers would dwindle and they would disapear. If the Hebrews had never forced people to be christians then they would have never forced people in europe which means people in Europe wouldn't have gone to North & South America to kill and convert the Native Americans.. think about it, death the only reason they're even here

Because we have seen what it means to be alive. Anyone who does not know and love God has never lived. Do we want bragging rights, saying we are the biggest Church? NO! The reason we tell others the Truth is because God has been so kind and loving to us by giving us life that we want to do what He wants, however difficult. We know that God loves you and me, more than anyone could understand. (I certainly don't know why God loves us. :) ) It is because we want you to love God as much as He loves you. I want you to take a couple of minutes to look at a picture of Jesus on the cross. Learn how much he suffered. And then ask why He willingly went through all of that.

God Bless,
Elisha

Think of it this way, Christians read the Bible which tells us basically what we should do, what will happen, what would be good for us, etc. They are essentially going by their information and spreading to word. For example, trying to convert someone into Christianity for their own sake; for the sake of being forgiven for sins, for the sake of being closer to Him, and for the sake of going to Heaven, all in their terms will be "good" for them. Basically they're telling you what they feel is good for you.

It's no different then telling your best friend to stop relying on McDonalds as constant meals because of the trans fat, or telling your parents to stop smoking because it causes lung cancer.

I'm trying to explain it in a different perspective. But I just remember my sister, cousin, and I balling our eyes out because some family members were on the verge of not believing, and us just thinking that we won't be able to see them in Heaven, so we wanted so much to regain their faith back for the sake of being able to go to Heaven.

we dont protest everything. just the stuff that is against the will of God. the reason that we try to convert people to christianity is because God told us to. when everyone has had the opportunity to believe in the one true God, with free will. the world will end then, we will go to heaven then and worship God forever

1) we are commanded to teach every kindred, nation, tongue, and people about Christ and his Gospel.
2) There is joy in Christ, and we want to share that joy.
3) It is always good to make informed decisions
4) As far as protest...the only thing it takes for evil to flourish is for good people to do nothing.
5) Christians protest far less than many "leftist" groups.
