You will find that atheists have the highest morals of all. We are completely against killing and things like that. People who believe in God don't think it is that big of deal because god will forgive them.

I would be interested in learning more of the religious wars everyone proposes to have taken place. Leave out all of the political implications and the outright greed of land-grabbing and tell us about them. Then go back to those same wars and argue the points from the secular side. I think you will be surprised to discover that you have been duped into thinking the way you do about many things.
Repeating a thing over and over and over again does not necessarily make that thing right, but the practice does serve to brain-wash. It is happening today in my country and it is greatly to my country's detriment.
No one likes to see injustice perpetrated upon others. When good men step forward and confront injustice they are quickly labeled as heretics. Show me what and where any religion has been unjust before placing blame. I would really be interested in seeing what you have to offer past vague generalities. (Can we begin with the expansionism of the Soviet Union?)

One of the commandments is "You should not kill". It is not God's fault that men break that commandment. We were given free will to be greedy, misinterpret the commandments, wage what we might perceive as "holy war" or make peace with one another. It's our choice. God doesn't make this happen, WE DO! If there is such a thing as democracy, God invented it when He created us! And don't bring up the B.S. of "If he is such a God of love, why does he allow this to happen?" Answer: A parent can guide his/her children as to what is right and wrong, but the parents can never control a child's life once the child is full-grown. And if that parent wants them to live their life on their own...they are on their own. The parent has done all that can be done. Once out of the nest.......? You have no control any more than a Robin can prevent a car from running over her chick. God doesn't want to see you get run over, but it was your choice to go out on the road.

WHAT?!! Are you serious? a million.6%? study shows that those asserting they're christian has dropped via over ten p.c. in decrease than a decade and the loss is increasing!! this is recognised that many that say "Christian" are basically doing with the purpose to sidestep the intolerance and persecution from the christians!! yet seem on the authentic figures!! The church homes very own figures coach basically 28% ever attend church in a year. certainly if 28% ever tried to attend church on the comparable day, even working shifts, there is in simple terms no longer adequate church homes!! yet count variety the bars - in many places there is extra area interior the bars than the church homes!!

Religious in this case are the hierarchy of the Church who sent soldiers to kill pagans and other non-believers using Christ as the reason for doing so. But the real intention was to get more slaves to do their work, confiscate lands and properties and even go as far as raping women.

I find the pathetic excuses used to dismiss your question an accurate representation of religions in general. Followers never admit that they are part of a system designed to oppress and murder others. They use every excuse in the book to avoid taking responsibility for the actions of their religion. Quote the Bible, say wars aren't always fought over religion, say it's about freewill, blah, blah, blah. It's alright though, in the end, they will kill themselves off, and we will be left to move forward.

Don't confuse God with mans free will. Sometimes there are righteous battles, but not all wars that were fought in the name of God were of God. Also, we each have the right to DEFEND ourselves, our families, our country, and our God. So, one needs to also look at why as "war" was started and "who" started it. I agree that some were wrong and for the wrong reasons and put a blemish upon the face of all religion. But to generalize all religions because of a few would be like saying all whites are KKK members just because some have been.

Most wars, even ones typically thought of as "religious," are not purely religious. Most wars have an element of religion or sectarian violence, but also are mixed in with political, social, ideological, or geographical issues.

NO war has EVER been fought in the name of Wicca!!! But thousands of Witches were killed in the "name of Christianity". 6 Million Jews were killed by German Christians, just because they were of the Jewish Faith. Over 13 Million Native Americans were killed by European Christians, just because they were NOT Christian. Many thousands of Australian Aborigines were killed for the same reason. Many many thousands of Muslims and Christians have killed each other in the name of Jesus or Allah. Hundreds have died in Ireland in Religious sectarian violence, Muslims and Jews are killing each other in the name of the SAME GOD that each other worshjips. In ALL of this killing there is ONE common theme at work. It's ALL been done in the name of "The God of Abraham". Now let's see how many worshippers of the God of Abraham have been killed because of THEIR Faith. About 10,000 by the Roman Empire, About 10,000 by the "pagan" tribes of the "promised land" Oh wait! Those weren't religious killings, those were in retribution for forcibly taking that peice of property so, I guess that doesn't count. In fact, that taking by force should count against them because their God told them to take it by force, so ADD another few thousand to the counts AGAINST the Abrahamic religions. OK, how about the Druids, THEY killed a few thousand Christians. No wait, The Christians came and forcibly took over the Celtic lands and killed off ALL the Druids, ADD another ten thousand to the Abrahamic toll. Ths score is looking pretty bleak for the Abrahamic peoples. OK, how about the killings of Muslims by the Hindus and Buddhists in what is now India and Pakistan?? No, wait, Again they were merely defending themselves so ADD another 30 thousand deaths AGAINST the Abrahamic folks..... When you examine it all. As much as Christians, Jews and Muslims complain about persecution AGAINST them, it would appear that THEY are the single LARGEST group of persecutors of OTHERS that there is. The God of Abraham must be a very thirsty God indeed. He seems to require the blood of SO many people to satiate his NEED for it. IF there were a vote taken, based on the amount of persectution delivered, to determine the single GREATEST enemy to Humankind. Then the God of Abraham would win that distinction, hands down. And the Blood sacrifices continue even to this very moment, in his name. Muslims killing Jews, Muslims killing Christians, Jews killing Muslims, Christians killing Muslims. Muslims killing anyone that isn't Muslim, Christians killing anyone that isn't Christian. Muslims killing other Muslims just because they're a little bit different. Christians killing other Christians just because they're a little bit different. The followers of the God of Abraham are ALL murderously, insane, bloodthirsty barbarians. And yet it's THEY who accuse the REST of the world of being Barbaric, just because they have a hard time understanding and believing them. The nutcases think that they're running the world, can you believe it?
