a forbidden tree in the garden of eden? I understand he wanted to give them a choice, but why one with such dire consequences. It's as if he set us up to fail. If you love someone you do not set them up to fail???? And would the consequences have been different if it was Adam who was decieved then gave the fruit to Eve? Or if they had just come right out and said we did it instead of hid?

I've never understood people's faith in "God." I am an atheist and my contention is that the level of education is the determining factor in religious belief: the lower the level of education, the greater the need to have an unexplained mystical force(i.e., "God") to provide one's validation. My girlfriend has recently embraced Christianity fervently, despite my efforts to reason with her. I don't know why people turn to religion, but perhaps some of you would care to share what it is that makes believers out of you?

God is loving, forgiving, he is our father in Heaven who loves us so much more than we could ever love our own children. so I would not shove one of my children in a place of tortue why would God? I do believe yes there is a place of torment, a deep dark place that you put yourself depending on your state of mind when you die. or a place of rest after you die, but you are not stuck there forever. I have read the bible, studied it very well, and have found a few mistakes yes. thats normal considering human who make mistakes all the time, translated it. over and over again. we are made in Gods image, yet the bible says jealousy is a sin, yet it also says that our God is a very jealouse God? does that make God a hypocrite? I think not, I think humans made a mistake somewhere. And I will never believe that he will torture his children.

I have read where people say their question is just a joke. Why joke with the Word of God.

Questions about God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit are serious question whether you intented for them to be a joke or not.

God's word is serious business. Please handle your question as such

I get asked a lot how I can believe in heaven but not hell. and i do, I believe in God and in heaven, and know deep down on my heart they are there. BUT I do not believe in Hell. Is there anybody else who feels that way, that there is a heaven, but not a fire burning hell of torture?

My son was graduating from school and their colors are blue, and grey. they were having the juriors help seat them. they were dressed in white shirts and dark pants. Theses juriors are from a community that likes rap music and liek to act like gansta's. I saw them all togther and they looked lile a bunch of Mormon missionaries going off to the MTC (missionary Training Center) in Provo, UT. All they needed was their name tag and their book of Mormon. LOL. Sorry to any Mormons who do not find this funny, you had to be there.

I find it interesting that the missionaries will use scriptures out of their mormon KJV Bible, that can be found in the Christian bibke, but SOME (not all) Mormons, in a debate will not listen to scriptures found in a christian KJV, or a christian NIV, or NASB, or any other translation. What do you think about that?
