(and all these things shall be added unto you). How do I seek the kingdom of God first when I lately don't even want to pray? My first thoughts are usually about myself and my problems not God. What to do?

While the Muslim world consoled itself with the verses from the Qur'an:- Chapter 2(The Heifer)
155. Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere,
156. Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":-

There is something which really amazes me.
Here are verses from the Qur'an- Chapter 19(Mary)
88. They say: "GOD((Allah)) Most Gracious has begotten a son!"
89. Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!
90. At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin,
91. That they should invoke a son for GOD((Allah)) Most Gracious.
92. For it is not consonant with the majesty of GOD((Allah)) Most Gracious that He should beget a son.

In the world of religion, wars have been fought over sprinkling as opposed to dunking, but no one has ever gone to war over Geometry.

No matter the country, language, religion, politics or ethnic group, everyone agrees on Geometry.

But you can't find two denominations, even within the same faith that agree on religion.

Is it because there simply is no objective truth to religious matter?

There is no biblical support for Sunday worship; it is a tradition of the Catholic Church which Protestants accept.

Sure, Einstein was a Deist, which is very a convincing argument for me to become a Deist as well. And yes, the fact that Darwin recanted on his deathbed, is a very convincing argument that evolution is a hoax. I know.

But how does it affect your beliefs that Lokasenna became an atheist? Doesn't that prove something to you?

(For those who didn't know: it's "welcoming Lokasenna to atheism Day!"

I am neither the one who believes in God nor Atheist.
I have my own religion; perhaps I am a kind of Athiest according to your terms. I interest to know if I will go to Hell according to your belief system.
What do your religious teachings say about that?

I have a friend who is mad at God--her brother in law died very unexpectedly at the age of 40 and she just cannot reconcile how God would let this happen. As a Christian friend, I have tried to counsel her in this area and I'm interested in your opinions as to what you would say?

You are taught that you are unworthy, but the complete oposite is true you have abilities far beyound your dreams. You are born perfect, you do not carry the burden of guilt, guilt like fear is taught.

Do you believe you are truly great truly amazing and you should fear nothing but fear itself?

Or do you believe we are all born sinners? and if so why?

Are they embarrassed of the crocoduck?

Probably get haters from all sides on this one but. I am married to a Christian, not religious, lady. We sometimes watch TV shows, and to her credit, she can now see the total shams out there, but,Joel, actually,I like him. Have you ever watched? He really speaks mostly about how to live today, not all the fire and brimstone crap, but about "what can you do today to make the world nicer?"I really don't have a problem with his message,as to me,he has the ability to pick the good parts and focus on them, rather than all fire and brimstone. That is a compromise I can make. I don't have a problem with inserting"my conscience" when he speaks of the "holy spirit" moving you to do a kind deed. Generally speaking,he has a great message about LIVING,doesn't dwell on the "afterlfe" much at all. Anybody watched him?Anybody like him? Have I succeeded in pissing both sides off?I'm trying to compromise here. Aaand, let the "thumbs down" begin...
