No. An orthodox is just someone who nitpicks the details of the superstition. You shouldn't follow religion at all. Their concepts are outdated and frequently harmful. Instead, use your brain and think for yourself. Morality has little to do with ancient fantasies. We've come a long way since then.

No Religion permits rigidity ! it teaches the purity & holiness of humanity in each human rather than in its' followers only. You are 100% right ! we must not limits ourselves by not honuring noble teachings of other Religions, and you must be knowing that, since very long period, at National & International levels, "Sarv Dharm Sammelans" are conducted to interact on a common plateform and bring out better means to promote the humanity at large.
It is we who because of doing away with moralvalues misuse the religious command for selfishness of self or a particular community.

Preachings of all the saints who experienced the truth of god r same. Love, care, compassion for other beings.
Rigid orthodoxy is only followed by people of religions who r far away from the knowledge of truth.

Adhering to religious orthodoxy just means you are letting other people come between you and God. Considering other people's teachings and experiences can be helpful, but in the end it should just come down to finding your own way, because you are unique. That's why I don't follow *any* religion anymore.

God gave us 10 commandments as guidelines to follow in our life. Keep them and you'll never be wrong. No amount of religion or belief can help you if you stray from the guidelines God has given you. All the other principles or teachings are man-made thus, faulty and full of loopholes. Serve God above all else, serve God above all men.

I read the Bible to anchor my faith, Mark Twain's "Letters from the Earth" to keep that faith in perspective and Marcus Aurelius's "Meditations" to remind me that even "pagans" have a spirituality that transcends that of most modern faiths.
While I'm religious and devoted to my particular faith, I'm old enough that I've found God has given His "Truths" to different people in many different ways. I don't reject a "Divine Revelation" simply because it was given to someone I don't agree with.
The truth is always the truth, no matter where we discover it.

Jesus is the truth, and the life, and the way, besides Him there is no way to salvation.

Jesus hated religion. It is what separates men from truly serving God. We spend more time trying to keep rules or traditions, and never have time for God.

The truth is found in many places but mixed with falsehoods.
Only in the Church founded by Christ Himself and who is His Immaculate bride, is found the fullness of truth.
