If the Path followed leads to a realisation of Truth, Love and Compassion by development of Wisdom, Mind and Morality through Mindfulness and the acceptance, tolerance and Love of all others then the answer is Yes.
If otherwise then that Path leads to ignorance and requires revision.

Perhaps. If (the) 'good' people behave correctly, work to maintain & develop good, and overcome shortcomings / prevent their arising.
There's a definite responsibility for them / us, as pathfinders / guides / good friends.
I think there'd be a standard way of getting from 'One' to it's beyond, though.
It's called meditation / meditativeness.
In the Buddhist Tradition it's the Noble Eightfold Path, the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, and the Seven Factors of Enlightenment.
Calm & Insight.
I tell people that all roads that lead to 'the mountain', do so. The ones that lead to its peak, may coallesce there.
Most of us will need good guides.
Thank you Digilook, for making us think.
Best Wishes,
A. R.

Many, many persons believe this.If this were true, your path or religion would not matter, for it would mean that all religions are acceptable to God. But are they?
When Jesus Christ walked the earth, there was a religious group known as the Pharisees. They had built up a system of worship and believed it had God's approval. Yet, at the same time, the Pharisees were trying to kill Jesus! So Jesus told them:"You do the works of your father."In answer they said:"We have one Father, God."(John8:41).
Was God really their father? Did God accept their form of religion? Not at all! Even though the Pharisees had the Scriptures and thought they were following them, they had been misled by the Devil. And Jesus told them so, saying:"You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth....he is a liar and the father of the lie."(John8:44).
Clearly the the religion of the Pharisees was false. It served the interests of the Devil, not God. So rather than viewing their religion as good he condemned it.
He said to those religious Pharisees:"You shut up the kingdom of the heavens beforemen; for you yourselves do not go in, neither do you permit those on their way in to go in."(Matthew23:13) Because of their false worship, Jesus called those Pharisees hypocrites and poisonous snakes. Because of their bad course, he said that they were on their way to destruction.(Matthew23:25-33).
So Jesus did not teach that all religions are simply different roads leading to the same place of salvation. In his famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said:"Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few atre the ones finding it"(Matthew7:13,14) Because they fail to worship God in the right way, most persons are on the road to destruction. Only a few are on the road leading to life. There are only two roads not many, one is the right road that leads to life and the other is the wrong road leading to destruction.

If all religions are different paths to the same place, then why do the paths contradict each other? Does truth contradict itself? Let's review the teachings of just three religions:
Buddhism is pantheistic and says there is no personal God and everyone can reach "godlikeness" on his own. Islam says that Jesus was just a prophet, and not the only way to God. Christianity says that there is a personal God, and that the only way to Him is through Jesus (John 14:6). If these three religions are, as you say, different paths to the same place, then why do they contradict each other? Does truth contradict itself?

All human beings strive to know the truth. Striving pushes us on to knowledge. Knowledge pushes the dropping away of our bigotries. When that happens we feel at Oneness with the other. Ah that would be a yes from me....

I have also heard the goal is the path, and the path is the goal.

no. If they did, there would be no wars. Almost all wars are based on religion. Even the tribal ones.
