You are a sinner whether or not you give money to church for all fall short of the glory of God. Is it a sin not to give money? I would say yes but if you give for the wrong motive it could be sin too.

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

It is an act of praise and worship to give back to God a portion of what He has given you. I'm thankful for all He has done for me.

In Malachi 3:8...
"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me.
"But you ask, 'How do we rob you?'
"In tithes and offerings."

I wouldn't want to rob God!

No. God doesn't say anything because he doesn't exist. Religion is just an outdated superstition as is the concept of "sin".

Instead, of basing your life on rules from an obsolete society, try using your own brain. You know what your finances are and you can figure out the best way to spend them. Personally, I wouldn't spend a dime to further superstitious beliefs that continue to harm society in many ways. If I were to give money to a church, I would only give it to specific charitable efforts, though I tend to, instead, just donate my time.

We are told to give of our time, money and talents, so yes, if you don't give money to the church it is a sin. (By the way He says we are all sinners.)

No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

YOU ARE A SINNER FOR YOUR INNER SELF THAT IS SELFISH OR GREEDY. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MEANS TO GIVE, IT IS UNDERSTANDABLE, HOWEVER, SIN IS MORE THAN ONLY NOT GIVING.....LOOK AT SIN AS WHATEVER YOU DO, IS GETTING FARTHER AWAY FROM GOD....GOD BLESS

no. You are a sinner whether you are giving or not. All the other things that you have done are what need forgiving.

Do you give any of your money away? Of that that you do give away, does any of it go to the poor/needy? If so, I would call that a type of tithing (or almsgiving, if you prefer).

The motive for giving is gratitude for God's saving you from your sin. If you have no gratitude, you will not give joyfully. Your giving would be sin.
