In order to be a Christian you have to trust in Christ as your personal Lord and savior. And that means following His commandments, being a Christian is who you are not what you say you believe in, and thats why Christians, myself included can say that a certain person was just faking because they weren't producing the fruit that the bible says a true Christian will.

Matthew 7:15-17
15Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
17"So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.

This passage is a parable it is talking about people using trees as a metaphor

I'm not a Christian. However, there is validity to the claim that a bad person is not a real Christian. This is because of the definition of the word "Christian." It means a follower of Christ. If someone claims to be following Christ, by calling themselves a Christian, but then does things that Christ would never ever advocate, then they are wrong. They are NOT following Christ.

The same is true of Muslims, because "Muslim" means "one who submits to God." If someone is not submitting to God, but is instead submitting to their own selfish whims, then they are not right to call themselves by that title.

This does not apply however to other religions, because of the name of the religion. For example, someone can be a Jew and it does not matter if they are bad or good. They can still be called a Jew. We may say they are a "bad Jew" or a "good Jew" but they are still a Jew. This is because "Jew" just means someone from Judah who was born into, or converted to the religion practiced by that locale.

The same is true for Hinduism. I am a Hindu, but I say there are good Hindus and bad Hindus. But one is still a "Hindu" if they are bad, because that title just refers to India, and the religions practiced there.

And this also happens to be the case with Atheism - that its title is still appropriate, for bad Atheists. Atheism just means one who does not believe in a deity. There are obviously both good and bad people who can claim that title.

I hope you understand the differences I have tried to show, and why it is actually appropriate to distinguish between "real Christians" and "real Muslims" but not "real Atheists."

It's not an insult to Atheism. It's just a consequence of the technical meaning of the term. That's all.

What is an Atheist? What is a Christian? The Good Shepherd loves us all equally for He only sees people, He may not like what we do but He still loves us.

When asking people for answers, you will get answers but when you ask the Good Lord, then you will get the Truth.

No no no no. It's "DUMB people aren't atheists. They're just pretending." And that's entirely TRUE! Everyone knows atheists are highly intelligent people, therefore anyone with an IQ below 120 cannot possibly be an athiest.

That's right. I know people that are really bad and they still have religion. Some people are just morons. They have nothing better to do than to talk about people. They need to get a life.
