The ultimate goal of life is to develop ecstatic love of Godhead.
Pure transcendental love for the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna is a billion times more wonderful than any of the so called wonderful enjoyments offered by the material nature. In fact, those things are all described by Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita as "springing from but a spark of My splendour".(10.41)
yad yad vibhutimat sarvam - and that all beautiful, glorious and mighty creations emanate from Him and pale into insignificance compared to Him.
The living entity is lost since time immemorial, covered by ignorance by maya, the external potency of the Lord. Thus, identifying with the material body and in a state of almost perpetual forgetfullness, we wander from one body to another, from one species to another, in a vain search for relief from the pangs of conditioned life.
In the human form we have the opportunity, by association with the absolute truth in the form of the pure devotees, the revealed bona fide scriptures and the Holy Name, to revive our dormant ecstatic love the Lord Krishna. Attaining this is the ultimate goal of life.

premanjana churita bhakti vilocanena santa sadaiva hrdayesu vilokayanti
yam syamasundaram achintya guna svarupam
govindam adi purusham tam aham bhajami

"I worship Govinda (Krishna), the primeval Lord, who is Syamasundara, Krishna Himself with inconceivable innumerable attributes, whom the pure devotees see in their heart of hearts with the eye of devotion tinged with the salve of love."

(Sri Brahma Samhita verse 38)

Beyond the pantheon of pharasaic and speculative religious processes lies the sublime absolute truth and divine love and spiritual ecstasy. For one in such consciousness all the dry arguments and mental speculations in the world are of no more value than dead straw.

We each have five keen senses and an inquisitive, reasoning brain. All of which comprise a finely tuned system for assimilating, interpreting, organizing and storing large amounts of diverse information. I see no logical reason for our existence other than the continual acquisition of knowledge.
The ultimate goal of life is to learn all that is learnable.

The ultimate goal of life is to remember who you are. Who you REALLY are. You're not merely who your personality suggests (introverted or extroverted, e.g.). Rather, you're God-like ... created in His image and imbued with similar powers.

Jesus, who performed countless miracles, said we'd do even greater things. Who was he talking about? He was talking about you and I. But, we cannot do these things--we cannot perform miracles--if we fail to realize we have the ability to do so.

Life's ultimate goal? To simply remember ...

To leave a lasting legacy.

To be wealthy and stave off death as long as possible.

It really all depends on the person...there really *is* no "ultimate life goal" set in stone anywhere (that I know of).

Many people confuse their goal with their destiny. Our destiny is to get to heaven. Our goal is to be like Jesus.
