No, despite deception, I would not eat of the fruit, for in the day that I eat of it, I will surely die... Even though that has already been passed down to mankind through Adam.

Well that depends on what the snake told me to do. Firstly if I met a talking snake I would assume someone has put LSD in my food. Now to keep following that tangent. If someone had put LSD in my food I would probably have a full on conversation with the snake. Well thats assuming he is a friendly snake. Maybe its not a male snake but female one. I never thought to ask. Maybe I should ask the snake its gender first.
Since LSD is supposed to be mind expanding, maybe I don't need to eat from the tree of knowledge anymore. How do we know the snake isn't knowledgable?? The snake must have some knowledge otherwise he wouldn't ask us to eat from the tree of knowledge. Maybe I should just pick apart this snakes brains and wouldnt need to eat the apple.
Assuming I was asked to eat from the tree of knowledge. I would ask why type of apple this is. Because I can only eat pink lady apples. God forbid it was anything else because adam would come out looking second best and like a fruit tart. Anything other than pink lady apples and I throw up!
So in answer to your question yeah I'd eat from the tree of knowledge. Then I would be able to do any job I liked since I would have all knowledge.

Whether or not the story of Adam & Eve is true literally or figuratively does not detract from it's truth. If one understands what it is that God is telling us and accept it as Gods word we therefore accept it as truth, because Gods word cannot be otherwise.
If however we neither understand nor accept its truth then it might just as well be a fairy tale to us.
I have accepted Gods word as true and knowing that nothing is impossible for Him, I therefore also have no problem accepting it as literal even though its truth is not dependant upon my accepting it literally or figuratively.
I suspect, (though I do not know) that if God were to explain man's fall into sin in any other way, we would have a problem understanding it given the limitations of our intellect.
As for Adam & Eve being perfect, had they been so perfect then they would not have fallen, rather it was Adam & Eves relationship with God that was perfect not Adam & Eve.
Also you are viewing these events through your own present day lens. If God were to appear to you and command you do this or that, you would immediately jump to attention and do what ever you were told. But for Adam and Eve walking and talking with God was a normal part of their day. There is an interesting parallel between this situation and the conversation that went on between God and Cain. When God asked Cain where is your brother Able, he said I don't know, am I his keeper?
I wouldn't have answered God in that way and I don't suppose you would have either. They had in those days what would seem a normal relationship with God; they had not yet learned to fear Him because they were perhaps unaware of the consequences of their sin. We on the other hand have the benefit of all the scriptures and therefore have perhaps a fuller understanding of the nature of God.
1Co 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (KJV)

Here's my theory on this issue, according to Genesis.
Before Adam and Eve's fall, God used to come to the Garden of Eden and spend time walking and talking with them...
Adam was created at an age older than a baby, and old enough to give the animals names...
Adam and Eve were so innocent that they were not ashamed to be naked...
And Eve was naive enough to want what the Serpent offered that would make her like God...
I'd say emotionally that Adam and Eve were probably very young. Most likely they were the equivalent of about 12 years old.
I'd also theorize that Eve was not yet capable of bearing children, and that they probably were just entering puberty...
So, is it just possible that the Bible story is about two people who are the equivalent of young teens...
Could you see a young naive girl who is used to walking, talking and living in a perfect world, listening to a creature that tells her that if she eats this fruit she will be just like God, and that the reason He doesn't want her to do this is because she is not as good as God? (The original half-lie)
I'd say she was a pretty naive and very young person.
Let's put it into a modern day analogy...
How many young teens think that if you smoke cigarettes you look cool and act like an adult, and are not thinking about the repercussions? The same thing with other illicit substances? Young teens don't fear death, do they? As adults, most of us are smart enough to realize how stupid it is to use these types of substances (how many times have you said "when you were young and stupid")
So, put it into the perspective of the surroundings that Eve and Adam were in (and think of how they blamed each other - they sounded pretty childish). Yeah, I think she could be pretty gullible.

If I were Adam, and I knew God was there, then I'd consider that a very stupid move. Even if Eve brought the fruit to me, I still wouldn't disobey god... heck, Eve wasn't even Adam's first wife (see Lillith in the original Hebrew creation story, before the bible changed it, or better yet, just ask a practicing Jew) and I know god would be able to make me another wife even better than Eve and have her there before I woke up in the morning.
Yep, that was too easy...

We still do it.A lot of people would rather pay a lot of money to go to a university to get knowledge and be taught Atheism and evolution just to get more money so they can obtain knowledge loosing their sense of self for money and a big house a fast car and a 3 piece suit learning the worlds way of being self centered instead of serving your Creator and have God be the center of your life,So in that respect they are copies of Adam and Eve,

Other than in the movies, snakes can't talk. Seriously though, I'd listen to the snake, eat the fruit, yada yada. I'd rather have some knowledge than blindly follow what a dude up in the clouds said. Hey, wait now...

You know Microsoft software are still not Free of Bugs.
I guess, Adam and Eve suffered from Bugs as well. Genesis was Version 1.0, Bible was version 1.1 and Koran was version 1.2.
They are still getting bug fixed in new version. However , there are still bug; because foundation is not solid enough for the Age of Reasoning.

Well if that snake knew more than me, and was also the greatest liar the world has ever known, and he had hundreds or thousands of opportunities to work on me who knows? Perhaps I would not listen to the father of lies 99.99% of the time, but that 0.01% that I did consider what he said...disaster.
