The Moses account of creation is invalid, incorrect, untrue, and inspired by satan. Be smart, read the authorized account given to us by Jesus in The Apocryphon of John.

And also did you read the the devil as a serpent or snake tempted Eve to eat of the fruit from the tree and that is what Satan is doing everyday now trying to go the other direction and make the wrong decision and away from the love of God.

I doubt if God set them up, the tree of knowledge must have been there for other reasons, don`t we all have certain things that we do not want others to touch, God warned them both and they rebelled against Him and suffered the consequences of this disobedience, we may not fully understand this but it is as it is.
The fall could not have happened without Adam`s disobedience as God made him head of creation, and if he had eaten the forbidden fruit first the result would still have been the same.

Hello, and the point of the tree is to offer us a choice, you see, Love is something that can not be forced, it must be will-fully given, so in order to do that one must be free to say NO, now God could have made us robots, not having a choice but that would like be having a tape recorder that you could hit a button and it would say "i love you" in reference to any difference between Adam or Eve being decieved i don't know and they hid that is interesting but its more interesting what God said, when God asks you a question IT IS "ALWAYS" for YOUR information NOT HIS, He asked them "Where are you" okay now that you sinned where are you in reference to your relationship with me? They like us hid from God and He asks you and me the same, where are you in relationship with me now that your doing whatsoever you please. He said in John 14:15 "IF" you love me [then] Keep my commandments, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

God gave Adam and Eve the whole Garden of Eden, was it selfish for God to have one thing there that they could not touch? Wasn't gratitude for everything God had given them enough?
God made them perfect, they could live forever and build the whole earth into an Eden. They had fullfilling work commissioned by God. No it was not temptation that God put before them but they chose selfishness instead.
You are wrong on the assumption that Adam was deceived it was Eve who was deceived by the devil (Gen 8:13). Adam knew full well his reckless action of sharing in the fruit.
They had no excuse they were perfect people with perfect minds but they had deliberately disobeyed God and God had warned them they would die (Genesis 2:17). Could God go back on his word?
They had no repentance in them sure they were sorry but they didn't repent - there was no basis for repentace unlike us who were born imperfect we have a basis of forgiveness on the basis of Jesus Christ's blood which bought salvation to repentant imperfect sinners.
In fact the very first prophesy of Jesus Christ coming to earth and dying a temporary death and Satan eventually being destroyed came from when God punished Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:15

He put it in the garden and said you could eat of every tree except the tree of good and evil. Both trees were in the garden, but look at the one that was eaten. If I eat of this tree I will just like God. Had they known the value of the tree of life they would have eaten it, but they didn't. They disobeyed the very God that created them so they could be like him-Pride.
Yes, but keep in mind, Adam in the garden all alone may never have eaten of this fruit but a man in love, well no telling.

A bit of an explanation (admittedly perhaps a bit long-winded, but please bear with me):
We were all together with God prior to the creation of this world. God had a plan for us to all enter mortality so that we could learn and progress, and ultimately be like Him. Adam and Eve were appointed to kick things off. But here's the kicker - they could not become mortal and start having kids (thus allowing us to enter mortality) until they first made the choice to enter mortality, a choice that could only be made by deciding to either partake of the fruit of good and evil or refrain from taking it (partaking the fruit allowing them to become mortal and have kids).
God's instruction not to partake of the "forbidden" fruit was because, while He knew it was essential to His plan for Adam and Eve to eat it, also knew that by consuming it, they would both have to fully leave His pressence, and suffer trials and hardships (and what truly loving parent wants their kids to leave home them and have problems?). In a way, God was saying, "I want you to be able to make your own choices, but I also know that making the choice to consume the fruit of the tree of good and evil will seperate us for a time and make you face many hardships out there, and that thought saddens me."
