One of these books is a specialized book in embryology entitled The Developing Human by Dr. Keith L. Moore, published by W.B. Saunders, 1982. In the third edition of this book, Dr. Moore said:

"It is cited in the Koran, the holy book of the Muslims, that human beings are produced from a mixture of secretions from the male and the female. Several references are made to the creation of a human being from a sperm drop and it is also suggested that the resulting organism settles in the woman like a seed, six days after its beginning. (The human blastocyst begins to implant about six days after fertilization.) The Koran, (and prophet saying), also states that the sperm drop develops 'into a clot of congealed blood' (an implanted blastocyst or a spontaneously aborted conceptus would resemble a blood clot.) Reference is also made to the leech-like appearance of the embryo... "

Which one do you trust and why?

The original KJV?

Or the NEW KJV?

And if this is the only trustworthy translation - why did it need to be changed?

It can be a deceased person that you knew, like a Grandparent, but not someone from the past whom you never met.
I would have to say it is my older sister. We have grown apart, as time has passed. But I love her dearly.

If death did not occur before the “fall” (Genesis 3) how did the wasp caterpillar manage to reproduce?

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/alienempire/battlezone.html

The same would hold true for bacteriaphages.

Were lions vegetarians? (That would be a tad awkward with the structure of their teeth.)

Also fungi need things that once were alive to decompose. Where did this matter come from?

Can you explain how an ecosystem without death would actually function?

Follow me here: A friend and I were discussing religion. Yeah, a slow night here. Anyway, knowing what we know today about the laws of today and the past, in the middle east, and how women were treated, wouldn't the logical explanation be that Mary had sex, got pregnant, was afraid to tell her parents (for surely she would be stoned to death), told them she didn't know how it happened, they claimed in must've been a "virgin" birth, pawned her off on Joseph and the story escalated from there.

What do you think? Doesn't that make sense?

This is not meant to be disrespectful, just an honest question of how things may have happened from a logical perspective. (In other words, a question regarding an opinion).

It seems like all these people are claiming they know so much about Mormons, when they are wrong and they won't except what the right answer is from real Mormons who know what they belive in such as:

People say Mormons are not Christians, when if you ask one, they'll say the do believe in Christ and that is why their full name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

People say Mormons practice Polygamy when if ask one, they'll say no and any Mormon who does gets excomunicated.

People say Joseph Smith was a treasure hunter, when if you ask a real Mormon who would know, they would say he isn't.

Also people say all this stuff about how the Book of Mormon is not true, when they haven't even read it themself!

Why are some people so stubborn not to believe the truth about Mormons from a real Mormon?

The Bible says and I quote from the Holy Scriptures:

"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear". ---------Hebrews 11:3.

What the Bible asserts concerning creation cannot be proven scientifically in the laboratory. It is "through faith" that we discern the hand of God in Creation. (special creation)

We can offer numerous evidences for the correctness of the scripture account, but ultimately our acceptance of all scripture rests upon faith in God's statements.

It might also be observed in contrast with the Bible's account of creation is the widespread teaching that complex organisms have developed from simple organisms-the theory of Evolution. It, too. is a teaching that must be accepted by faith; it has not been, and cannot be, demonstrated.

Genesis 1 and 2 as a historical account of creation by God in six literal days.

if Jesus came down and told you in your face:

Matthew 19:17
.... Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

1st commandment: you shall not take other gods before Me! (God)

if Jesus told you in your face:
John 8:42
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

if he said this in your face:
"my God, my God, why haven't you forsaken me?"

if he said this in your face:
Mark 12:29
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

then will you still says to Jesus you are God ? then you have no excues when you face the real God in the day of judgment.

The dinosaurs thrived for 250 million years on Earth. If God created them, and then later decided to destroy all of them, what will He do when He tires of us? The dinosaurs represent a kind of race which permeated and controlled the world in complete domination. They existed in perfect balance as their 250 million years attests to. So why were they eliminated. If an asteroid struck earth and destroyed them--it is still by God's hand. If there is no God, and life forms on earth are random and meaningless, where does that leave the human race. We may not need to destroy ourselves with our own bombs. For if we are valued as highly as the race of dinosaurs, which once completely dominated the planet, then we are doomed either way, and we may be discared by whatever power began it all, when that power is sick of us, and longs for something new. Discarded the way we flush a gold fish down the toilet when we are tired of caring for it. What do you think about this idea?

The Bible is often used to restrict marital laws when it comes to gay marriage. But the God of the Bible also allowed many ancient men to marry multiple wives.

If gay marriage isn't allowed based on the word of God, why is polygamy not allowed in our laws?

We live, we die.
We get injured, we heal.
We get diseases.
There are smart ones, there are stupid ones.
We can have mental illness.
Males tend to strut like peococks around strong, healthy, beautiful females.
Females tend to opt for the more 'secure' mate.
We have the same bodily functions.
All signs point to the fact that we are animals.
As an animal lover, I cannot deny the existence of personalities in animals.
Since we are 'smarter' than other creatures, on our planet, we are not animals?
The 'soul argument' has not validity with me, just so you know.
It is obvious to me that I am an animal.
Why does this scare people?

just curious. They obviously take their religion very seriously, do you think they have anything fundamentally wrong or misguided in their beliefs (anti-electricity etc)? If they're not incorrect in their interpretation, why don't you join them?

It is my opinion that eventually, more and more christians will decide to drop out of mainstream American society as technology goes further ahead, especially genetic engineering and cybernetics. I'm talking maybe 100 years or so. Would Christians ever consider going off to their own little villages like the Amish if things ever went too far downhill in America?

The Lord's sacrifice of His Son is the greatest gift, the greatest thing He has ever given to us. Christ suffered the ultimate for us, all of our sins were laid upon Him, who knew no sin but He died our death, this is amazing love! Foolish is the man that rejects that love. Read these following texts. Concentrate on Jesus. Take an hour out of everyday and focus upon His goodness:
1 Corinthians 5: 21
Philippians 2: 2-8
Hebrews 13:8
James 1: 17
Malachi 3:6
Deuteronomy 4:31
Hosea 11: 7 -8
