Depending on what kind of love you seek A motherly love. Sure come from mom.
A father's love will provide food and shelter for you. That is his responsibility.
Brothers and sisters? Will that be similar to the love from your opposite sex. Surely you know that is incest.
And the love of God. You will know to obey and trust.
I believe the love for everyone comes from different ways and manners.
Don't expect when you love your spouse you want her to be like your mother. Reality face a whole lot of love and human race will only be content with the love of God.

A person's emotions (love being one of them) are produced by chemicals exquisitely intertwined with the physiological processes of the body so that in the truest sense what affects the body affects the mind and emotions, and vice versa. The center of emotions in the brain can be found in the limbic system where the vast panoply of emotions is regulated through the release of excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters.

It all depends on your defination of love. It is subjective, and therefore there is no universal way to define love, and therefore no way to say where something undefined and subjective came from.
However, my personal defination of love is the connection between any two souls, as friends, family, romantic interests, whatever. So as long as there are humans, there is love. Love is part of being human since it is a connection between two souls, and humans (more or less) have souls.

I have love for my son. I have known love from a man many many years ago and I married him. It lasted 10 years. I screwed up. Now I know that it will never happen again for me. I have finally accepted my fate, and for good this time. Lust is common, love is rare. When you have found it, don't take it for granted. Real love only happens once in a blue moon.

Seeing as though love is a chemical reaction in the brain, I'd have to say it's evolved.

Love is elusive and fleeting.
You are a fierce fighter for what you believe. You feel things deeply. There is no universal truth, only our own.
