I marinated a rack for 24 hours and that did not do it....

I heard partly boiling them first helps...

how is this "fall off the bone" tenderness achieved???

Thanks!

Marinated for 24 hours, then slow cook for about 12 before you grill. Also, getting a really good cut of meat helps.

This is what I do, put them in a pan season and add a little veg. oil, cover with foil. Cook @275 degree temp for about 2 hours. Take out of oven, remove foil, put on some BBQ sauce , put back in oven. Turn up heat to 350 bake for another45 to 60 minutes. Works for me.

Marinating could actually toughen up the meat, depending on the marinade. Boiling generally works.

boil them in broth. and then use prongs and carry them over to the picnic table... its assured that the meat will fall off the bone to the dirty bug infested grass before you reach your plate.

I always boil them with some beer, marinate, then BBQ.

I believe it depends on how slow you cook it.

The slower the more tender.
