The Bible says and I quote from the Holy Scriptures:

"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear". ---------Hebrews 11:3.

What the Bible asserts concerning creation cannot be proven scientifically in the laboratory. It is "through faith" that we discern the hand of God in Creation. (special creation)

We can offer numerous evidences for the correctness of the scripture account, but ultimately our acceptance of all scripture rests upon faith in God's statements.

It might also be observed in contrast with the Bible's account of creation is the widespread teaching that complex organisms have developed from simple organisms-the theory of Evolution. It, too. is a teaching that must be accepted by faith; it has not been, and cannot be, demonstrated.

Genesis 1 and 2 as a historical account of creation by God in six literal days.

Dosen't matter what people will say here, i'm a Christian and i do find these argument valid.

Still, i disagree

1)The Bible is the truth right? Right. But is it really talking about science? Is the book that God left us so we could learn of his grace and follow him concerned in stuff like biology and geology? I think not.

2)I'm a biologyst and an evolutionist, please don't say that i have faith in evolution. My faith is in Christ, all of it. evolution is a scientific theory, it has nothing to do with faith, it has to do with data.

3)In spite of everything evolution has some gaps, it is likely that in the coming years those gaps are solved and we'll probably have a better view of things and a more accurate view of reallity. Science's objective is truth, still it is impossible for science to reach full truth, we'll never figure it all out, its simply impossible for science to do it, lately we've been gettin really close though. that is exacly the fun in science, new theories that explain better the fenomenon we witness replace old ones, theres nothing wrong with it, we could say that science "evolves".
There is no reason today for go against the theory of evolution (scientificly speaking) and no scientific theory that maches it....

thats it

To first understand the whole argument between creation VS. evolution, consider this scenario:
A championship football game between rival schools. 5 seconds are left and the score is 21-15. The home team is losing. The QB throws a hail mary down the field, the WR dives to make the catch, the ball ends up in the end zone. TOUCHDOWN! However, one half of the stadium is screaming "INCOMPLETE" while the other half is jubilating; the pass was clearly a touchdown.
If it is so clear, why do people argue? Please, before you people bring a lot of controversy into things-do some research.
The father of evolution is Charles Darwin. He himself WAS NOT SURE of his theory. He stated, and I quote, "If it can be proven, if there is such a complexity, then my theory would break down."
Think for a moment how stupid humans are: Darwin's theory (THEORY) came about before modern science. BEFORE WE KNEW BETTER. Now, we are able to see things to the most minute of aspect, we are able to see their COMPLEXITY. For example, the cell. Could evolution POSSIBLY have lead to the "evolving" of such a complex and extremely sophisticated thing?? I dont think so.
First of all, the fossil records COMPLETELY dismantle evolution- WHERE IS THIS MISSING LINK???
THE BIGGER PICTURE: evolution is attempting to kill Christianity and the FACT that there is a GOD, there is a SAVIOUR, ADAM AND EVER were real, and SIN exists.
I mean, do you honestly believe that your ancestors were monkeys? That a baboon can be your cousin 685 times removed? ALL evidence points to a maker, yet many people chose to ignore the facts, chose to ignore the plain truth that is RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR EYES!
-can you explain the complexity of a peacock's feather, the human eye, not to mention, the cell? Can evolution explain how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly or how earth does not simply fall out of its orbit? NO! but the Bible does!
-if you're gonna try and argue with the fact about Darwin's finches or the galapagos turtles or the fact that vestegial organs seem to be related among animals- check it out: THOSE DRAWINGS WERE FAKE. Do some research for yourself and stop letting people feed you crap, please, do yourself a favor.
Thank you.

Creation and evolution are two different things, actually 2 parts of a process. Evolution theory only deals with what happened to life AFTER it began, not HOW it began. It's entirely possible (and very likely) that God (or 'intelligent designer' whichever you prefer) created the Universe, and uses evolution as a tool. We know the universe has changed, evolved, we can see physical evidence of the earth itself and it's inhabitants changing and evolving. Scientists have a pretty good grip on what's happened, and probably when, but can't answer how it began or "who" did it.
I think both sides of the creation/evolution debate have some of the puzzle pieces, and they can actually fit together if seen in the right perspective, but there's also some pieces missing, and some pieces that don't even go in the same box.

"We can offer numerous evidences for the correctness of the scripture account, but ultimately our acceptance of all scripture rests upon faith in God's statements."

WTF? you're right, it does rely on faith. Period. NO evidence ever needs to be found, searched for, or talked about. Ever. Faith is all that matters. According to you. And your book. And yet, so many people seem to think there is evidence all over the place. Why don't you talk to them?

Micro-evolution can obviously be demonstrated. And genetic similarity can be traced. And the fossil record is what it is. Would you walk onto a murder scene and say, "Well, a murder can't be observed, so we don't know anything." I hope not.

Precisely, it is faith that a person needs to have in order to feel spiritually complete, and with the diversity of the world today, not one can be expected to live up to everything the christian bible says.

Put simply -

To understand the chritian bible, one must make room for countless mis-readings and interpretations, as living through the times it was written, people were more influenced by the unknown and quick to judge something than we are today, so a lot of the scriptures can also be considered mis-leading from actual events.

But is this more of a question or a statement reflecting your thoughts?

Again, and I say this from an atheist perspective: Evolution does NOT disprove God, nor does it attempt to. Scientists are concerned with science, not religion. Evolution is a theory, yes, but one based on PROVEN FACTS. Please read up more on evolution. This idea that it somehow disproves God is ludicrous, and I cannot understand why so many people are afraid to learn about it. I would hope that you consider your God intelligent enough to allow for evolution. Perhaps this might help:

Evolutionary "theory" in the scientific sense is a considered a "fact". This theory contains facts and testable hypotheses, and is corroborated every day by molecular systematics, biogeogrphy, comparative morphology and many other disciplines.
Hardly a matter of "faith"..

You have asserted that you know next to nothing of mainstream scientific principles and understandings, and have misrepresented something of which you nothing about.
Typical christian ignorance and denial..!

ANY "scientific theory" is NOT a matter of faith at all. Your theory of god, is not a "scientific theory", but a "laymans theory". Like it or not, the two a VERY different uses of the word "theory"..

So you sir, are a religious fruitcake who embraces denial, ignorance, misinformation, misquotes, misrepresentation and ouright lies in order to perpetuate you beliefs..!!

I understood your position until you put in "(No mammals were ever found in old rocks)."

What does that statement have to do with your earlier pose?
(I don't quite get the connection) Are you arguing for or against either stance?

Every dog on this planet is a product of selective breeding of wild wolves by humans.

That IS proof that evolution can occur.

Simple. Science cannot prove evolution in humans. (i.e. missing link.)
