I feel that too often people look for happiness in the big events and miss the countless little things that can come out of nowhere and make you smile. What's your opinion?

Seriously. They have nothing better to do? I'm not religious in terms of being a Christian or a Jew or anything, but that's ok. I believe in people's rights to believe what they want. I'm actually a bit jealous of religious people sometimes. The real ones I know (not the Easter/Christmas crowd, but the REAL ones) seem to have such a great outlook and happiness. Not that I'm depressed, but I'm still looking for my answers, and they've found theirs. I'm happy for them. But I've always seen religion as being something you can't just fake. Or just DECIDE you believe in. .You do or you don't. And so far I haven't seen one that really works for me. But I'm also not ruling any one out. And I certainly wouldn't poke fun at any. (well, maybe a little, but in a good way, not the stupid offensive questions you see posted here sometimes.)

(Huh... I just realized this is all one big paragraph...well, I'm not going all back through to edit. :) whoops.)

This is kind of related to another question I just got done reading.

Honestly this whole trinity thing doesn't make any sense to me.

Then God said, "Let US make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Genesis 1:26)

If the trinity is all god why does he have to say us why doesn't he say me or I. I f someone could explain this to me that would be awsome.

Let's imagine that sometime in the future an expedition is launched to another planet. On this planet researchers find a species of intelligent life, but not only this... they have 3 sexes. One makes the sperm, another the egg, and the third is an incubator for the fertilization, term, and delivery of the young. Both the egg and sperm producing sexes must perform intercourse with the incubator at nearly the same time in order for a pregnancy to result.

Hypothetically, if this were a true discovery... what would be your reaction?

I've been watching some interviews regarding this, even as an atheist I find it to be pretty absurd. My question is to Christians -- do you believe that anyone who has taken part in this challenge is headed for hell with no hope or do you think they haven't really committed the unforgivable sin and could still be saved and forgiven?

Jesus may love you, but my other car isn't really a broom and my child isn't an honor student anymore,he graduated last year, and his sister doesn't do as well, so if being written on a bumper sticker makes it true, I have a perfect body, it's in the trunk and starting to smell....

Where do you get your morals from if not from the Bible?

The cultures of the world all have codes of conduct, even the ancient ones, and many of these codes predate the writing of the various books of the Bible and almost all predate each cultures first exposure to the Bible.

Where did the Greek Philosophers gain their insights? Did Socrates have no morals? Was Pythagoras lost? Confucius? Buddha? The American tribes? Eskimos?

Does this mean that we are 75% identical to a nematode worm?

Because DNA is a linear array of those four bases—A,G,C, and T—only four possibilities exist at any specific point in a DNA sequence. The laws of chance tell us that two random sequences from species that have no ancestry in common will match at about one in every four sites. Thus even two unrelated DNA sequences will be 25 percent identical, not 0 percent identical (2000, p. B-7).Therefore a human and any earthly DNA-based life form must be at least 25% identical. Would it be correct, then, to state that daffodils are “one-quarter human”?

I got these questions from a website here is the link, kind of interesting.
