I am a christian and I believe Christ is my Savior as He promised me (us). But sometimes I feel I could be losing that privelege due to sin that I sometimes commit knowingly and unknowingly. How can I make my self honestly believe that it was and is done (being saved by Christ)?

I recently overcame some major obstacles in my life.
And I realized, it was because of the calling in my life.
What I am to become in the coming years, is so very
important, and it may even help save the life of thousands,
perhaps millions of people. And I guess that is the main
reason why, I was being held back. So I could grow
and become spiritually aware. Like I am now. And my
faith has increased greatly. It even help out some of my
friends, who may have hurt themselves, or give up on
life. Now I am in a new relationship, and that has also
helped me spiritually, and that person may be just the
other link to my path in destiny, and my agenda.
Am I on the right path ?

For those who have not heard of memes, some say that memes are somewhat like genes, but where genes can only be transferred through physical sexual reproduction, memes are of the mind and are predisposed to certain thought patterns.

Here is a link so you can better understand:
http://www.abarnett.demon.co.uk/atheism/religion_evolve.html

And, no. It is not an article about atheism, but the possibility of these memes being cause of different religions.

Please keep it serious people. I find it kind of neat myself, and just wonder your opinions on it.

then why do they use verses on stoning to condemn Christianity?

I'm guessing most atheists that read this will avoid the question.

I was raised in a Baptist church and I have very strong opinions on certain issues. This church that we have started attending doesn't believe in the Trinity - I do.
They don't believe that Hell is eternal - I do (they believe it will burn itself out and all in it as well).
They don't believe in the Rapture - I do.
They believe in Sabbath worship and that those don't are condemned - I don't.
They believe that you must continue to work for your salvation even after you've accepted Christ as your personal Savior - I don't.
They don't believe that once you're saved you're always saved - I do.
This church has already convinced my very good friends and I don't want to lose them and they keep asking me to go with them to services but when i tell them that I'm upset with some of their beliefs they just tell me that they can prove what they're saying in the Bible and to keep on studying the Bible.

I've started reading the Bible and noticed something as I read Genesis. OK God created Adam and Eve who then had Cane and Able. The Cane murders Able and moves away to Nod east of Eden. Then Genesis 4:17 says "Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch", but where did she come from? If Adam, Eve, Cane, and formerly Able were the only humans around, where did she come from?

When I had read the article in the Seattle times, I felt they wrote a good & respectful article. And I can know that Jerry Falwell accomplished much for Christianity by the Grace of God & Gods high calling on his life.

If god knew 1 million years before I was born that I would never pick up a bible, never pray, never show interest in going to church and never even believe that he exists. And despite it all he still made those actions prerequisites to get into heaven. Did he do it on purpose? Did he not know or was he powerless to change those rules? If so, then he is not omnipotent. Or did he simply not care?

Do you know that Bible itself says that Muhammad is last prophet and Bible tells all bible follower to follow Muhammad as Bible will not be able to meet the challenge of new times properly and the teaching of Bible will not exist as God says.

If u can challenge it, then go to the following link:
http://answering-christianity.com/muhammads_share.htm

and challenge is open.

Let me preempt my question with the following statement: "I am a devout vegan who does not believe in using animal products."

The mezuzah (the scroll, not the case) is usually written on parchment, which is the skin of an animal (usually a goat).

I am wondering if a mezuzah written on a non-parchment material (like paper) negates its "kosher-ness?"

Is it possible to find certified kosher mezuzot written on non-animal derived material; and if so, where can I find such products?

Thanks in advance.

Just quoting from Richard Dawkins book titled 'The God Delusion' George Bush is quoted as having said 'No I don't know that athiests should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God.' This is only one account (Robert Shermans journalist) of what Mr Bush said so dont get too wound up about it, but I just wondered if religion is part of being American?. Just substitue the word 'athiest' with 'Jews' or 'Blacks' to see how discriminatory that statement was/is. Is there room for non believers in America?
