name calling is very prevalent in R&S and it seems to go with the territory but is it really necessary to call people `Retards`
It is very inapropiate when many people suffer from mental retardation and I am sure that there are quite a few members of this forum have family members who suffer from this condition, Christian and Atheist alike.

I don't think so. I believe that the Roman Catholic Church is an apostate church that has lost its roots in the Apostolic faith. They became corrupted when the church became more institutionalized in the 3rd and 4th centuries. I don't believe that evangelicals can ever fellowship with Roman Catholics. Sure, there may be a remnant of true believers in the Roman Church but I don't believe that that Church overall is a true Church. Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, and Soli Deo Gloria!

In what ways are husbands encouraged to love their wifes? What examples of Jesus' treatment of his diciples illustrate how a husband should exercise Christlike headship?

Ok, let’s just say that sexual orientation is a choice and the Christians are correct. By that account, the reason I am straight is because I choose to be. It has nothing to do with the fact that I find women sexually attractive. I am straight because I choose to be. That about sums up your beliefs correctly doesn't it Christians????? If you answered yes to this question, my next question is do you really expect me to believe that?

The best guest I know of is September 29 from what I've read before...shepherds wouldn't have been in the fields in december because snow was common.
"Note that, at the time of Christ's birth, the shepherds tended their flocks in the fields at night. "Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields," wrote one Gospel writer, "keeping watch over their flock by night" (Luke 2:8). A common practice of shepherds was keeping their flocks in the field from April to October, but in the cold and rainy winter months they took their flocks back home and sheltered them."

So with that being said, why is Dec 25 adopted?

I'm not a Charismatic or Pentecostal but I don't believe that they are related to the prosperity gospel movement. I do believe that Charismatics and Pentecostals can be part of the true body of Christ as long as they don't embrace the heretical teachings of prosperity teachers like Joel Osteen or Benny Hinn. All those professing Christians who claim that the prosperity message is true are misled and even deceived. God cannot be mocked. Those who come to Christ because they want God to make their finances, health, and marriage in order are following after the flesh. They will not be saved and they will hear the awful "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers" (Mattjew 7:23).

To Christians, religious, atheists, agnostics and the rest:

What is the ONE thing or ONE subject matter that brings you to your "bashing point" and how often does that happen? Please be sure to state what your belief or lack of belief system is.

I am not asking you to base your belief system on it so please be really really honest. So.........for those of you who say you are non-believers (all categories):

Can you.................. are you willing to.........do you have the guts to ADMIT that ANYTHING in the Bible is true or real? It doesn't matter how small that one thing is (even if it is just based on something historical)

I just beg to know that SOME of you believe something.

There are days when I cannot express the love that I feel for the Church. She has given me so much since my conversion 2 years ago. We take a lot of flack for Christ, but I always find home when I go to Mass. Anyone else feel the same?

The Babel Fish is small, yellow, leech-like, and probably the oddest thing in the Universe. It feeds on brainwave energy absorbing all unconscious frequencies and then excreting, telepathically, a matrix formed from the conscious frequencies and nerve signals picked up from the speech centres of the brain. The practical upshot of which is, that if you stick one in your ear you can instantly understand anything said to you in any form of language. The speech you hear decodes the brainwave matrix. Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could evolve purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as the final clinching proof of the non-existence of God. The argument goes something like this:
