I believe God is love.

I believe that we inherited that love from God.

I believe we are ALL God's children whether we believe it or not.

I believe that ALL God's children, regardless if they believe in him or not, receive this gift of love to use and give away.

I believe that Atheists can love very deeply.

I believe the statement "God is Love" means that Love is all around us and that it is a gift that we need to make good use of no matter what our background.

What an insulting question, how can you really believe that only a religious person can experience the emotion of love, once again we have a person that would demand that we all believe what he believes, I love my wife and family very much and I do not require the fantasy that you are saddled with,
belief in God is a man made idealism and before two thousand years ago many different God`s were worshiped, look at the Egyptian`s, the Aztec`s, the Inka`s, The Mayan`s, all would indulge in human sacrifice often with small children to please their God`s, was that also love, was their God also love as you think your`s is. So to sum up, Atheist`s do love the same as you do, they also have lust the same as you do, the only difference is our varying belief`s, we are all human and have the same desires.
Chris.

The word "love" in the verse that contains "GOD is love"(1 John 4:8) is Agape and it does not mean a physical attraction like you want it to mean(The word for physical attraction is philleo in the original text (Greek). Agape has to do more with the type of relationship a king would have for his subjects that walk in his commandments. His subjects will show their love by doing what he commanded. That is the reason the bible says "This is love that we walk in HIS commandments 2 John 1:6. and "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."
1 John 5:3. I am a beleiver also I had to correct a error that I saw in your question.

I think it naive to believe everyone must agree that Love is God and God is Love.

Especially if one is speaking of an anthropomorphic deity.

Love is an energy that dwells within all living things. Love connects all living things. Love is why many of us feel at peace when we are surrounded by life living in harmony, such as in a forest.

The absence (or diminishment) of this energy we call Fear. Fear is what we feel when we do not recognize or accept our connection with all of Life.

None of this requires the belief in a supernatural deity who walks on water or parts the Red Sea. The power of Love is testable and tangible, as anyone who has felt it can attest.

Love is not "out there", it is not alien, it is within each of us, if we only have the courage to embrace it and accept what it calls upon us to do.

Love is Life, and Life is Love.

Linz, this variety of ingredient completely sucks! i individually understand of very few couples that don't agree on something as own as non secular ideals. i'm constructive they're accessible... yet, such as you pronounced, it is a substantial reason that persons wreck up. My spouse has been by way of all varieties of non secular stages, from Baptist to Wiccan! i attempted to be tolerant, despite if it genuinely have been given on my nerves. It genuinely bring about my giving up faith for good. I completely understand the type you experience on the topic of the opportunity of coaching your little ones something you think of is pretend... i could no longer do it. i did no longer tension my teenagers to have self belief any particular way, yet I did tell them why i've got self belief what i've got self belief. My son is a exceptionally good atheist, my daughter is greater agnostic. From what i understand approximately you, i'm constructive you will discern it out and discover happiness. you're a suitable woman (beautiful, too!) and a few guy (possibly your fiance) will understand what a "seize" you're and carry directly to you tight! (if I weren't married,... look out!) good success! S

Love is only God to christians. Love is an intense compatibility with another that you would do anything to protect. Love means several things to several people. Yes, I love my children with a Mother's love and I love my husband with a Wife's love.

Love has nothing to do with religion except for those who are religious.
You think of God as love because love is the utmost highest and most favorable of your emotions and nothing is more pure than love...thus you associate love with God.

You feel "Love Is God". That's your personal opinion. I'm sure atheists likely would disagree with that definition of love.

Your saying "love is god" and "love is god" doesn't make it so.

Just as my saying there's a unicorn in the room, and it's eating the table doesn't make it so.

Atheists love.

If you had the least shred of humanity in you, you wouldn't assume that people who disagree with you are incapable of love.

It's "y'all", not "you'll".

And love exists in many forms, yes. Whether or not love exists independent of the minds capable of experiencing it is a whole other issue.

No, God isn't love. God is an invention of mankind.
