Iam also a convert, Iam in the process(in RCIA and will be baptized next Easter) and from the moment I stepped into the church I had finally found what I had been searching for ,for so many years, home. My first Mass and almost every Mass since then, brings me to tears of joy. Yes the Church is home and I love her dearly. Praise be to God for leading me to His church.

and also you Steely, start up out confessing your biased opinion and nevertheless have the audacity to come back-on as an authority on Catholicism? Tsk, tsk! traditionally that's what's authentic about the Catholic Church. a million. it truly is the unique, authentic Christian Church. 2. The Catholic Church gave start to the Christian Bible (no longer any opposite direction round). 3. maximum excommunications contained in the Catholic Church are self-imposed. no individual (the note you've been attempting to apply i trust) is: Ousted. 4. Gays are literally not persecuted because the Catholic Church does no longer condemn the sinner yet purely the sin. gay-habit is condemned as sinful as is different styles of immoral habit. 5. Non-believers are concern to lectures of fireplace and brimstone??? ask your self this accepted, "Why might want to a non-believer even hearken to the form of lecture?" Then ask your self this, "How might want to this be any diverse than the different non-Catholic Christian witnessing to those who might want to lend an ear?" by technique of ways, fireplace-and-brimstone is passé. Does eternal separation from the love of God sound any better perfect to you? What are my perspectives? First, the uninformed recognize no longer what they talk of; second, I bothered to study my faith that's why i'm an recommended Catholic who loves the Church depending by technique of Jesus Christ, The Catholic Church. As a lifelong Catholic, I can tell that it is people like you who help to shape how I feel about our Church and why I love all of it's rituals and beauty.
Seeing the Church through the eyes of a convert is a great blessing it makes me appreciate what I was born into all the more.
I always feel at home during Mass as well. It such an uplifting and beautiful thing we get to celebrate!

Yes, I feel the same way.
The Sacraments, the prayers, the grace. Knowing that you are with a fellow group of believers who are all part of the Mystical Body of Christ. The True Church that was founded so long ago by Jesus Christ Himself and His Apostles. The teaching authority, Apostolic succession in an unbroken line of laying on of hands from Apostolic times to today - no other Church can legitimately make that claim. The Church that was responsible for giving us the Holy Scriptures, and has always been the teaching interpeter and guardian of that Word of God. Through good times and bad, the Church that will be with us here on earth until the end of time, and will help us in our walk with God toward Heaven.
"And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
Matthew 16:18
"Peter" is the Hellene (Greek) name for the Apostle Jesus called "Cephas". Cephas is Aramaic, meaning "rock".
THE APOSTLE'S CREED
(Was initiated in the Apostolic Era of the Church, became the baptismal creed of the Western Roman Church, and pre-dates the Nicean Creed of 325 AD)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. AMEN.

I love the Roman Catholic church and feel blessed to be part of Her. I sometimes imagine how it would be without the Church in my life and all I see is darkness. How much do we owe Our Lord who gave us this church. She is Priceless because She was built on the foundation of the life, sufferings, Passion and Blood of Christ, the sorrows and spiritual martyrdom of Our Lady and the relentless work of the Apostles, the saints and the blood of martyrs.
I pray for the welfare and triumph of Holy Mother church!

glad you found the fullness of truth danny. when properly understood the church is such a beautiful thing, it displays just how awesome god is. the joy and feelings are unmatched but my only sadness is our seperated brothers and sisters in christ who reject the eucharist and are so confused by the misconceptions and anti catholicism that is so rampant and sadly acceptable in todays society. this extends to non believers and believers of other faiths. i am in no way putting them down but am expressing my fond prayer that they may find the journey home and rejoice in god and the church he gave us. here are some websites you may find useful some you may already know but they are are beneficial in many ways.

The Catholic church is my spiritual Mother the one who has nurtured me and through Her I have come to salvation through my baptism.
For me the Eucharist is life it`self and I could not get thru one week without receiving the real Body and Blood of Christ.

I am also a convert, Danny, and know just what you mean about not being able to adequately express it -- other than the Mass is home, the Eucharist is life.
