I am a christian, and I do not support bush.

I know my bible, it says "For Shall Many Shall Come in My Name, and shall Decieve Many"

Bush claims to be a christian to decieve the majority of christians in order to get in the white house and play christians for suckers.

They didnt learn with the Catholic Priests coming in Jesus name, when all they did was molest children.

All bush did was destroy the U.S.A. And attacked his own country and killed 28000 of his own people. Not conspiracy Theory, but CONSPIRACY FACT.

Not all chrsitians are bush worshippers.

I sure am hell not.

Bush is a member of skull and bones, and the bohemaisn grove, where they do mock child sacifices every year.

If you think by following bush, ur going to heaven, Think again, ur heading stright to hell

For example: baptism - - - definately not a Jewish ritual.

Seeing Jewish history as a ritual symbol of another religion is just ... wrong headed.

using Corinthians to 'prove' is poor logic. Of course the Christian text supports it!!!

Baptism is not mentioned ONCE in the entire Tanakh (929 chapters, 310,000 words). I think, if it was a significant ritual, it would have come up.

Water baptism belongs to many of the fertility religions of the day, which met near rivers, in olive groves, gardens ---hmmm sound familiar?

Maybe early Christians were looking for converts by meeting in places that other non-conformist religions used too, and adopted some of the rituals.

You can't say the Bible is not full of misogyny. There are obvious examples of it in the Bible. If you think there aren't, you're obviously oblivious.

what do you think about people who have dreams, and see and talk to their mother and father. I also see my sister brother and friends who have passed over. They also tell me that they are no longer in any pain and their disability has gone. I was also warned and saved a life also they all look younger
and a lot happier. I have a funny feeling you think it is demons. So what say you.?

I know it is impossible to disprove the existence of something, but I saw this guy on TV who said he could prove God's existence only using science. Too bad his analysis was so convoluted, it would have been nice to put it all to rest once and for all...

It's important that Christians continue to remind you of your sin.
The Bible is now taboo at Yahoo. They said it couldn't happen: My answer to a prospective gay 16 yr old:
Just because lots of people participate in it, doesn't make it right. Homo and bi sexuality are sins and wrong, and against nature. Read about it in the Bible, Romans 1:24-27 You can be saved.

I was having this debate with my friends. Some say that it is wrong for christians to drink alcohol. Jesus's first miracle was turning water into wine. If it is wrong to drink then why would he do that? I hav taken the position that it is ok to drink everyonce in a while but its not ok to get drunk. What do you guys think?

Have you become hard-hearted about considering other peoples belief systems?

Or, have you screened and sifted your belief system down to its really important factors?

I don't even know if that statement is true or not. Yet, if it is thought to be true . . . why would a person experience increased tiredness during a period as that of soul growth increasing in awareness etc.?

Most of it came from pagan rituals or cultural peculiarities from Europe and the Middle East. Here is a list:
Easter eggs - Ukraine pagans,
Christmas tree - German Pagans
stockings - Turkish cultural pecularity
Father Christmas/santa claus - an invention by the english.

What are the other ones? What festivities (outside the church) are original Christian ideas?

(by the way... I am not interested in hearing things like "christians never invented anything" or the like because that is boring)

And when the jews tortured him, were they beating a God or prophet? if they(small people) were beating a God, how and why this could be? For example God could send a sheep for them to torture(like Abraham). He didnt like Jesus ?? Could somebody explain me why he didnt just forgive?? and finally I didnt do anything wrong. Why did Jesus get tortured for me or for Adams fault?? Can a God or part of a God be tortured to death??

Jesus said one must come through him in order to have salvation. Staying along the Christian line of thinking. Jesus is God. God is Love. Jesus is Love. So, "salvation" means we must go through Love in order to experience the Divine, correct?

This guy said we are judged as good or bad the moment we realise our parents aren't perfect.
But when is this moment? We realise what our parents are as toddlers don't we?
We try to please them as children. But as adults, we treat them normally like any other people. As in, we give them their human rights but won't take any crap from them.....
So do we have a responsability toward them and how?

I'm sorry I just could not resist. Questions asking why atheist come here just seem to come up again and again and it is getting tiresome.

Just wanted to turn it around and see what the reaction would be. We have all heard that people claim Christianity is not a religion but a personal relationship with Christ, so if Christians are seperatists when it comes to religion why do they mix with other religions and spiritual systems here.

Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see that His kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?

These are not my words, but they are in the Bible, in Romans chapter 2 verse 4.
