I am sorry...who is we? Christians would not be Christians is they did not believe in Jesus. Jesus is what its about. Jesus, yes, was born a Jew, but he died for all of us and after his death the Christian religion was born. He loves you and he taught us to love others.

His Jewishness was not an issue. He was Jewish because God chose a people who would be the ancestry of the Messiah.
First, they were just those who followed after God. The generations after Abraham began the direct lineage. They were called Israel or the people Israel, after Jacob who was later called Israel. They were later called Hebrews (which means set apart) and Jewish comes from Judah which means praise. This is a quick version.
We believe in Jesus because He is God's Son and the Messiah or Savior. He completed all that the generations of Jews had prepared for. As a matter of fact, they were waiting for Him and He said He came for the Jew first and also the Gentile.
Many Jews accepted that He came as God's promised Messiah. Later, many did not. Many Gentiles (non-Jews) believed as well. He made the way so that Jews and Gentiles alike to come to a personal relationship with God. He "made the high places low and the rough places plain".
I believe in Him not because He is or isn't Jewish, but because He saved me and died for my sins, giving me a permanent connection to the Father.

Because Jesus said, "I and the father are one."
That was NOT at all a Jewish thing to say.
Either he was mad, and then why would God have raised him from the dead,
Or, he didn't say it, and that doesn't jive because the Apostles who wrote it knew him personally and so were the people around them when they wrote that he said that. They agreed he did say it.
So we have the God of the Jews, the being who appeared to Moses, having himself born as a Jew. What a trip.
He also said, "Whoever believes in me shall not perish but have everlasting life."
Totally uncool for the people standing around him.
I like it.

You don't have to believe in Jesus because He was Jewish. You need to believe in Jesus because He was sent from heaven by God the Father to ransom you from your sins.
The Apostle Peter says this about Jesus:
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12

Boy oh boy that must have been a huge rock you crawled out of. Our heavenly Father has always maintained a relationship with the human person through revelation and Jesus was the fullness of that revelation in that it is God in the flesh. In order to reconcile man since the fall of Adam, Jesus died in atonement for our sins and thus openning heaven for us

Nobody says you have to believe in Jesus, you can choose not to.
God allows free choice.
God also choose the Jews to be His special, covenant people, and chose to send the messiah through them.
It was His choice.
You can choose to ask God to forgive you of your sins because Jesus paid for them or you can chose to pay for them yourself throughout eternity.
That is your choice

Maybe because he wasn't the normal Jew....he was radical and a rebel. He constantly questioned the Pharisees and people in general. He did not accept the man-made teachings of Judaism(the separate cooking areas, the ritualistic lifestyle instead of simplicity and realism). He wasn't afraid to speak out. Why do you think the Jews (quite a few of them)hated him, and traded him for Barnabas(sp?)to be crucified? He was a reformed Jew who questioned the traditional methods and beliefs of Judaism..................

There is no actual documented facts, that jesus ever existed, if he did he would have just been another prophet, there have been many.
In Jewish tradition, there is no mention of the coming Messiah being the son of God.
If God had a son, there would be two Gods, thats contradictory to the concepts of monotheism.
its all a load of crap.

God came from nowhere and stood upon nothing and made everything --so we are not privileged at this time to comprehend the ways of God entirely--it will all be shown at the appropriate time

What does it matter what religion or race he was? He was still Jesus. If you're going to believe he was the son of God, nothing else should matter. Are you one of those disgusting bigot losers who hates everyone but their own race?
