i want to go with my friends to the catholic church for the first time............
but since i am black, i am scared i will be the only black person in the entire church
protestant churches are divided..........whites and whites, blacks and blacks, hispanics and hispanics..........
are they the same with catholics? whites and whites, blacks and blacks? will people stare at me - including the priests - because of the color of my skin? is there even such a thing as a black catholic?

Maybe in Heaven there will be a different room for every denomination in the world and as punishment for all the disagreements, we will be sorted into these rooms, stuck for all eternity associating with only the people who were in our denomination. There would be a room for Baptists, a room for Evangelicals, a room for Penicostals, a room for non-denomenationals, a room for Catholics, a room for Mormons, a room for Jehovah's Witnesses, a room for 7th days, ect.... Of course, everyone will think that their church was right because they might not know about the other rooms. But it'd be soo funny to see how Jesus punishes us for fighting over the Bible with other believers.

This is a Christianity question. A couple of months ago I was at a Christian meeting, and a man was actually discussing this, and it got me a little confused. He was specifically referring to males and how they're made in God's image. He was describing his experience, where after giving a speech, an offended woman had come up to him, very upset that he had not included her to be made in God's "image" too.
So does this mean that man is physcially made in God's image? I always assumed it to be a more spiritual thing, so both men and women would be included, and it would separate us from God because God is perfection, and we are not? How could we bring ourselves to God's level?
I am very confused. What did this man mean? Is he right in his theory of men being made in God's image, and exactly what does this mean? Thanks :)

im a protestant, and i think to learn more about my faith i have to learn about others, so i am thinking about going to a catholic church for the first time in my life instead of walking around it scared and afraid................
my purpose is not to become catholic (catholics put too much power in the hands of the pope, saints, and mary) but to SEE exactly what happens in a catholic church
im scared, what do i wear? where do i sit? do i bow before going in the church? what happens when they want me to take the eucharist - and i refuse it since catholics believe that they are eating holy skin and drinking holy blood when we are too sinful to EAT christ's skin off of his body.............
do i say "no"? is that disrespectful to catholics? please tell me what to do and wear to the church - i don't want to look foolish - this is my first time going to a catholic church as a VISITOR.

Christian Bibles have expanded versions of several of these books (Ester, Ezra, Daniel, Jeremiah and Chronicles) including extra material that is not accepted as canonical in Judaism. This extra material was part of the ancient Greek translation of the Tanakh, but was never a part of the official Hebrew Tanakh. Jews regard the additional material as apocryphal. Among Christians, there is a difference of opinion. Catholics regard this material as canonical, while many Protestant sects regard this material as Apocrypha. What is and is not regarded as Apocrypha varies among the many Christian sects.

A. eternal sleep
~ or ~
B.eternal life in heaven or eternal life in hell (BUT here's the clincher... you are unsure of your designation until the moment comes-it has been decided for you based on your human life)

* my husband says..." i wanna sleep"
* i say ..." i'll take that chance. even if i end up in hell...i will be in lots of company"

I used to be an athiest untill I was introduced to Islam.

I read a little about christianity , howevever the bible hardly made any sence and the old testsament was filled with hatred and violence so I decided against that.

However Islam promotes peace, happiness, and freedom.

( The violence in the Koran was aimed at the crusaders of that day and Allah wants muslims to defend themselves )

Well, Since I gave my heart and soul to Allah I now make alot of money in sales, I am happier , and after many years of being single I am now married to a beautifal wife.

Isnt it amazing how Allah rewards those who follow the right path.

Acts 7:55-56 it says Stephen saw Jesus standing on the right hand of God... Jesus stands on the right hand of himself?

Matt 3:14-17 it says the Holy Ghost came down as a dove, Jesus came out of the water and God the Father said he was pleased with his son. that show three seperate beings.

I also read that the Holy Ghost caused Mary to concieve Jesus... If Jesus is the Holy Spirit, then he impregnated his own mother?

John 17 says that Jesus prays to his Father and only does his Fathers will... it doesn't say he does his own will.

What about Adam and eve? it says they are joined as one flesh... does that make them one person or one in purpose?

It make perfect sense to me that God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are one IN PURPOSE not personage. This is what the Scriptures teach--the Godhead.

The Trinity is a false doctrine voted on by unispired men in 320 AD in the council of Nice.

In the book of Joshua (ch 10, verse 11-15) theres a pretty extraordinary event that takes place.God in his "infinite wisdom" actually stops the sun so that joshua could see the people he was butchering........Now, you're probably going-WTF? Freeze the sun? If god wanted there to be light, why would he freezes the sun-that wouldnt do anything because earth that rotates the sun not the other way around. So, isn't it understandable that the primitive guy who wrote the Bible apparently had the misconception that it was sun that moves and it was the earth that was set "firm"?

although, im not fully catholic (or fully protestant) in that matter, i love the fact that catholics RESPECT the eucharist........

a define myself as a bible-believing GOD fearing person who believes in Christ and his death for humanity SAVED the entire human race from eternal damnation........
i don't "classify" myself as a protestant or catholic. neither does the bible. neither does God.

catholics believe that you are recieving christ's flesh and blood literally
i would take issue, but the bible does say
this IS my blood, this IS my body...................
and paul talks about purifying your body before taking the eucharist, my protestant faith doesn't push this, yet the BIBLE does

i'm taking the eucharist for the first time at a catholic church I have never been to.................
this IS my blood, this IS my body................
