Revelation 21:4, TLB. "He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever."

Isaiah 35:10, TLB. "These, the ransomed of the Lord, will go home along that road to Zion, singing the songs of everlasting joy. For them all sorrow and all sighing will be gone forever; only joy and gladness will be there."

Psalm 30:5, TLB. "Weeping may go on all night, but in the morning there is joy."

Psalm 147:3, TLB. "He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds."

John 14:16, TLB. "If you love Me, obey Me; and I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter [the Holy Spirit], and He will never leave you."

John 14:27, TLB. "I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid."

I Thessalonians 4:13-17, NIV. "Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words."

John 5:28-29, TLB. "Don't be so surprised! Indeed the time is coming when all the dead in their graves shall hear the voice of God's Son, and shall rise again—those who have done good, to eternal life; and those who have continued in evil, to judgment."

"Come . . . let us walk in the light of the Lord. . . . The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned" (Isaiah 2:5, 9:2).

"shall not the judge of all the earth do right" [genesis 18:25]? this is a great comfort to those of us with loved ones who have passed into eternity and we are not sure of the destination of their souls. God is a sovereign judge of righteousness, full of grace and mercy to all who call upon him

there will come a time when each born again believer will be with the lord. in that day we will have the blessing of "no more." "and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" [see revelation 21:4]. we cannot comprehend how that will be because we live in time, and are constrained by our finite minds. however, just the thought of that is enough to bring comfort and encouragement. when we see the lord, all of the sorrow we have now will disappear

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
Revelation 14:13

Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.
Psalms 116:15

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff--they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long.

Psalms 23: 1-6

This is my favorite: Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I wll give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

I can't tell you where it is exactly...REomans or Corinthians...but it states "To be absent fom the flesh is to be present with the Lord". This one always helps me to remember it...problem is, I forgot where it is...I think its 2Corinthians, around chapter 5 I think. Good luck and God Bless.
