There is a great scope of beliefs within the christian set, the most moderate embrace science and all it has achieved, but still believe in their god, while at the other end of the scale there are those who feel able to damn people to hell, interpret the bible literally, some believe that men have one less rib than women, they can denounce ALL science that challenges their highly selective view of the world, maybe believe that they alone will rightly live forever, fabricate psuedo science to compliment their beliefs, and generally display a level of bigotry, ignorance and arrogance unheard of in the modern and informed western world.

The disparity of perspectives within the chriatian set cannot be denied, so they cannot all be right..!

Where does the mind of a moderate christian draw the line at becoming fundimentalist fruitcakes, and where to the fundies think the moderates have got it wrong?

I can't see how the two ends of the spectrum could sit in the same room..??

Does anyone take this crap seriously? We were laughing about the sad middle eastern myths pushed out in these tracts 20 years ago. Then I find one in my newspaper this morning. Is there anyone, learning disabled aside, who still think that these are real????

To say God exist is to say the entity of God exist within a realm of scope and possibility. People exist on Earth,The Earth exist in the Universe, Both exist within the conciousness of the human mind.Everything that exist is dependent upon realtive realms of possibility which creates dimension.I vemhemently oppose this train of thought. God does not exist because the entity of God is independent of all realms of scope and possibility. All dimensions are manifestations of He. When asked a question that is diffcult to answer, I see so many responses that are completely different interpretations of scripture, and so many that have zero basis even in scripture, but they are put forth as true. Not everyone does this of course, but it seems to be the rule rather than the exception. So why don't more of you feel comfortable saying "I don't know" sometimes? Why is there a need to tie everything into the bible anyway you can? If people never said "I don't know", then there'd be no advances.
