All you who think God punishes gays, don't you ever think that if there is a god, he created just to see who is really tolerant? Ever thought about that? If god exists, and he loves everyone and everything, then he loves gays, lesbians, bi's, transgenders, transvestites, and all else you intolerants consider "against god".

Now think, if hell exists, who go's there? Intolerant haters, or people who are happy to be who they are?

If someone uses capitalised 'him's' or 'he's' (god is a male for sure), that's a pretty good indicator they're spouting cr@p.

Martin Luther took out many books from the OT.

Catholics say he was wrong, Protestants say he was right......

Both Christian groups say the other is wrong and the Holy Ghost guided THEM while both are opposite in belief !!

How can christians... (using the term as a loosely and generic one... please dont' crucify me) Use ONE book, the bible to base their entire life and persons upon?... How can the bible be the end all be all of what's out there... Thoes who don't believe in the bible (God, Devil, Heaven or Hell) Why do you think they use the bible this way? Use ONE book to run their entire lives?

...successfully campaigning to have the age of consent raised from 7-12 to 16-18.

Questions:

1) Should the attitude of Christians have been, "While I would never have sex with a seven year old, I would never interfere with someone else's right to do so"?

2) What do you think the age of consent should be?

ok, ill try to be short.
i spent many years in the church, catholic, baptist and pentecostal.
the bottom line is....even though many christians claim thier beleif is SIMPLE...it is NOT. i say this for many long and well thought our reasons. but the biggest of these reasons is the idea that salvation can be lost. if thats true, christianity is not a religion of freedom at all.if salvation CAN'T be lost, then there should be absolutely no judgement from one christian to the next. after all, god will take them regardless.
i have decided to reject a philosophy that keeps me fearful. i dont beleive that a loving god would want that for me. i think i will choose freedom( and take that chance as per my last question :)

I've talked to numerous people who would rather spend an ETERNITY in hell (described as a place of nothingness, not a firey pit), rather than simply become non-existent after death.

I guess they really, really fear the idea of not existing. But seriously, who in their right mind would wanna do that?

So thats my question to you, would you rather spend an eternity in this hell described, or simply become non-existent.
